MVSU LB Ryan Quinney was killed in a car chase that ended in a crash last Friday at age 20.

Sad for the young man, his family, and his team. Prayers for all.

At the risk of this becoming overly politicized, it must be pointed out that this is another case of "comply and nobody dies." Without the chase, the accident almost certainly doesn't happen.

Agree. Car chases almost never end well. Usually best case scenario is you eventually get stopped without major injury to self or others and add more charges.

I’m very pro law enforcement except for seat belt tickets, but sometimes all the police need to do is wait outside mamas or girlfriends house…. Game over

Agree with the sentiment and in many cases that's true. Without knowing the situation, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that pursuit was warranted (originating crime to spur the stop, pursuit was short lived, etc). And I'm generally not pro-enforcement. Not anti-cop as much as my interactions were never positive, obviously due to my own decision making 😂 (traffic tickets, open container going from 1 bar to another, weed, etc. - all deserved, public made no safer by the tickets).
