Does Akron count as I-A anymore? Isn't it a rule that if you lose to both Temple and Buffalo in the same calendar year you are formally on notice??? xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx :p

Man, I agree on this one. I'm no longer impressed with JMU's ability to out-recruit non-BCS conferences.

If we beat out Maryland, that's great, but it sounded like the one kid was going there if he got an offer.

Haha, call me when they beat out Georgia or Florida for a recruit. Akron wouldn't even be a top 10 FCS program.

HARRISONBURG - Chris Malone played at Fork Union Military Academy in 1990. He had his first coaching job at the Virginia prep school. And since then, the James Madison assistant football coach has made a habit of hitting up his old school for recruits.
“He’s been in it as a student and as a coach,” Fork Union coach John Shuman said Wednesday. “He’s got a pretty good handle.”
And, boy, has Malone been pulling on that handle this year.
Shuman said Wednesday that safety Jamie Veney has committed to Madison - the third FUMA player to say he’ll play for the Dukes next season. A fourth, cornerback Taeirion Cuffee, is apparently close to following suit, Shuman said.
