,
That's one way of putting it. Here's another: "UNH has climbed their way back onto the bubble and could earn a playoff berth by winning their last two games vs. Stony Brook and Maine". But if you're picking SB, hard to see why you'd even choose to make UNH the only team out of 16 you comment on.

Winners in bold
NC A&T at Towson Towson by a lot
Villanova at Monmouth I'm not sure about this so going with my heart over my head. Coach Callahan has won twice at Villanova and the Cats may be looking ahead to the Blue Hens.
Richmond at Hampton Hampton will keep it interesting for a half but Spiders pull away in 2nd half.
Campbell at Delaware Blue Hens will win their final FCS game Saturday.
Bryant at W&M The Tribe need a decisive win to keep longshot playoff hopes alive
UAlbany at Rhode Island Rams win big at home as they try to improve their playoff seeding.
Stony Brook at UNH Best game of the day in the CAA. Taking UNH in a thriller at home.
Maine at Elon Maine played their super bowl against Villanova 3 weeks ago and have since reverted to the mean.

Stony Brook SBU's talented receivers had a severe case of the 'drops' last week and if they turn that around they could pull off a win up in UNH.

So who will Villanova now play on future Rivalry Days? Have either Towson or Monmouth agreed to lose every game yet ?

Time is flying - but down the stretch and we have four contenders in the hunt.
The games this week:
#9 VILLANOVA (5-1, 8-2) @ MONMOUTH (2-4, 4-6)
Series: Monmouth 2-0. 1st game at MU.
The Hawks schedule catching up with them as they are faltering down the stretch after a nice start. Villanova just quietly keeps winning. The Wildcat defense has given up only 23 points in their last three conference games - tested here but they should hold enough for the win.
#11 RICHMOND (6-0, 8-2) @ HAMPTON (2-4, 5-5)
Series; UR 4-1
The Pirates have flattened a bit after a pretty hot October while the Spiders rallied to beat Campbell last Saturday and pushed their winning streak to 8 games. Tempting to pick a Hampton win here but the Spiders have the juice to rally when needed. I see a lot of TFLs in Hampton for UR and a solid 9th consecutive win. This Spider team is on a mission.
#16 STONY BROOK (5-1, 8-2) @ UNH (4-2, 6-4)
Series: UNH 8-3
One upside of a 16 team league is you are assured of at least one captivating/meaningful game every week - and this one fits the bill for week 12. SBU has been on a nice run coming in on a 4 game win streak. UNH just hangs around, still in contention, and I think will be motivated enough for a possible playoff berth to pick off the Seawolves this weekend. Wildcats by around 10 points.
UALBANY (1-5, 3-7) @ URI (5-1, 8-2)
Series: URI 6-5
Rams competed well in their only CAA loss last week at Delaware and rebound nicely this week against the struggling Danes. This might be the first real blowout for URI this season, one which they have been successful in rallying for late wins and pulling out many tight games. Rams roll.
MAINE (3-3, 5-5) @ ELON (3-3, 4-6)
Series: Maine 3-2
Appear to be two evenly matched teams here. Elon has found some mojo with Dowling at the lead. This could go either way but I think the combination of a home game and Elon still flush from a gutty win @ W&M last Saturday will propel the Phoenix in this one.
BRYANT (0-6, 2-8) @ W&M (3-3, 6-4)
Series: 1st Meeting
Most interesting to see how the Tribe responds to a gut wrenching loss last Saturday - against a Bulldog team that had shown fight but has yet to pick up a conference win. W&M best be careful and prepared in this one. There are mumblings already about the disappointing results this season and the coaching preparation. London best have this team ready heading into the last game at Richmond - I’m going to assume he does and the Tribe pulls out a win on Senior Day.
NC A&T (0-6, 1-9) @ TOWSON (3-3, 5-5)
Series: Towson 1-0
Can the Tigers put together a couple consistent weekends? They won’t need too much to make it two in a row. The Tigers should put this one away early.
CAMPBELL (1-5, 3-7) @ DELAWARE (8-1)
Series: Hens 1-0
Camels lost a great opportunity for a signature win last Saturday. I don’t think they will be as fortunate this week. The Hens should and will likely run big holes through the Camel defense. Hens will run away with this one, a 30+ point win.

Towson-NCA&T stinks Towson 42-14
Villanova- Villanova is overrated but will find a way to eek out a win vs a Monmouth teams who's morale is definitely in the dumpster. 30-27 southern cats
Richmond- Hampton will play very tough, Richmond will bounce back after the crappy performance last week.
Delaware- SoupU can apparently play tough when it wants to but UD will win, the real question is, who even cares?
W&M- Bryant stinks
URI- Backup or Farrell gets a week of practice/rest. Albany doesn't have the horses.
Maine- I think Maine plays tough and Elon's luck will run out, 30-24 black bears.
UNH- I think SBU is overrated, I am happy for their turn around from last season. I do think that if UNH plays well in all 3 phases like it did vs Monmouth we will win at home with a similar 33-21 ish score.

Make the CAA even more nutso by beating Stony Brook next week.
I have not even begun to look at the bubble and all that crap but obviously URI/Richmond are in- 1 as an auto bid. If Nova loses to The hens (and from what I saw today I see no shot they can beat Delaware rivalry or not) and we beat Stony Brook I think Nova is still in but they probably will not deserve it- That may steal a spot from either UNH or Stony Brook- Maybe both would make it but at this point if it is only 1 of them (assuming a UNH win) I think he nod goes to UNH. I know the common thought is an 8 win CAA team cannot NOT make it, but hard to imagine there wont be better resumes out there for 5 teams to get in. What will make it even more nutso is if all of the above happen and W&M beats Richmond. That would be 6 CAA teams with 8 or more wins and lets be honest there is no way that should happen but maybe it does. If all above happen (W&M win, UNH win, MU beats SB and Del beats Nova) the problem becomes the head to head stuff. Hard to imagine Nova not getting the nod since Nova beat UNH and Stony Brook but UNH win over Stony Brook IMO puts them above SB especially with the way the teams will have finished. I thin UNH fans become big Monmouth fans next week as that could put nail in coffin for SB leaving URI and Richmond as in for sure and then a fight between UNH, W&M, Stony and NOVA for what IMO should only be 2 spots but certainly no more than 3. In that case I am guessing it is Nova and UNH. Going to be a very interesting last week and if all of the above happen there are either going to be some pissed off fans in other conferences or the first time an 8 win CAA team does not make it ( I think that is true not sure)...

I know you have to believe that b/c of the history but very unimpressed. Yes they are good upfront and the QB can run and they have some guys but it was like a nickel and dime you type Offense and not only does our D stink but I kid you not we had like 5 starters out today and held them to 93 rushing yards on 32 attempts and 328 total yards. Yes they scored 33 but come on man- they dont even come close to passing the eye test. They are a decent team but nothing more. We did NOT beat the 8th best team in FCS today and that is no disrespect to them, I just cannot see it. Roberston stat line 22 for 23 358 and 3 TD- That is supposed to be Nova strenght- Our Offense was shut down by UNH and faltered badly against Towson and for the last 1.5 quarters against URI. I know every week is different but Carib you will not lose this game.

Monmouth finally played up to their potential, and Villanova had a bad day. Monmouth is a team you don't want to get into a shoot out with, the kind of game where offensive proficiency means everything, defense, except for turnovers, next to nothing. It seems Villanova ended up trying to outscore the scoring leaders. Every team in the conference that had Monmouth on their schedule had big concerns about the game. No one wants to face a team that is configured differently, it's like a left handed, heavy-hitting boxer from Philadelphia.
Do I think Villanova is the 8th best team in FCS? No. I vote in the AGS poll and I've had them no higher than 11th since they lost to Maine by 4 touchdowns. I've had them behind Richmond and URI.
But I wouldn't advise betting a large pile of money on Delaware winning next Saturday. This series has been dominated by Villanova over the las 12 years with Delaware going 1 - 11. If you add another 6 year make it 2-16. One of the times Delaware won was the Pandemic year and I put a couple of asterisks ** after everything I see about that season. There have been many of those years where Delaware went in as the clear favorite and Nova still won.

Since the playoffs expanded to 24 teams no 8 win CAA team has missed the playoffs, but there is the extra game this year.
I'm not going to lie, the Monmouth game and yesterday's game were really emotional for me. Monmouth because once we got to 8 wins I had no doubt in my mind that we'd get at least one more win out of our last three games and yesterday because we got to 9 wins and I don't see any scenario where we could get left out of the playoffs now.
Between forfeiting a game in 1996 due to a fight with a fraternity and that URI president essentially trying to nuke the program, failure to invest in our program as the Yankee/Atlantic 10/CAA became an arms race, announcing we were dropping the program down to the NEC, and all the whispers about dropping the program entirely we've shot ourselves in the dick more times than I can count. We've also had a couple of intriguing teams over that time, most notably the 2001 team for me. I say most notably because that was my last year on campus and we started the season 7-0 and got up to #4 in the 1-AA polls. Unfortunately a 1-3 ending to that year kept us on the outside looking in come playoff time.
With all the missteps and bad seasons (and a few downright putrid seasons) it felt like we would never get back to the playoffs. One week from today, we go back to the playoffs for the first time since 1985!

Monmouth 3-0 vs Nova all time....
Nova will make the playoffs as they will look totally different next Saturday
They going to magically figure out how to score points? 28 against colgate, 14 against Towson, 24 against LIU- 7 against Maine, 14 against UNH, 20 against Hampton? They scored 33 on us but bro u have seen our D and we have half our D out now and they still barely got over 300 yards. Does a rivalry game really make a team be able to perform magic tricks? Lets look at reality- reailty is NOva offense has struggled all year- inconsistent at BEST and we just hung 40 on their "strength" We talk about eye tests a lot and they do NOT pass it - However this is The CAA and teams look different every week, but the one constant has been Nova Offense not really been able to get it going. You score 28 you win

You guys earned it and my words have been eaten (calling you over rated) - Def a good thing to see URI in the playoffs and I am happy for Coach Jim and for legit fans like you who live and breathe it. Congratulations dude.
Thank you, I appreciate it! And no worries, I'm not sure many people outside of that locker room gave them a chance to be here.

LOL-- so funny-- I get it I really do- but so hard to envision what I saw yesterday beating what I saw against us when you played us. They run a HS Offense but will take your word for it!

Congratulations to The Rams and all their fans! You should be pretty confident that you won't have to play in Round 1 and you'll have home field for Round 2.xbowxxnodx

Thank you! Man, if that happens it would be insane! Providence College at the Ryan Center at noon for the annual rivalry game and then our first playoff game in 39 years after that? Get both College Gamedays to Kingston if that happens!

it really is hard to believe but nobody can deny the history of the series for the past two decades, so many years Delaware has been the better team but lose the game and until that changes, don't bet on the Hens to beat Nova
and this will most likely be the last meeting between these teams far into the future
