The teams I hate the most in all of sports are the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Yankees. But I'm glad you're happy... :D

Go Yanks! I've always liked the Yankees as my second favorite team.
That's mainly because of the Roger Maris link to Fargo.

Mike and Mike were talking about what happens if the Yankees, Sox and Indians all finish with the same record. Two play-in games with the Yankees-Sox playing first for the East and the loser then playing the Indians for the WC. That would be awesome!

Unreal. A pre-playoff, playoff. That would be a great week in baseball

Go Yanks! I was not sure if they could catch them but after seeing Manny lolly gag to first base yesterday, I think the Bombers will be just fine!!

Things like all those ties always work themselves out, I highly doubt with the NYY and Sox playing 3 at the end of the season that there will be multiple ties!!

OK, I completely understand the Yankees thing, but how can you justify being a Cowboys fan?

Bandwagon?

That would be friggin' insane! The craziest thing is how they do a coin flip to determine homefield for those games. I thought I heard somewhere they already did a flip for NYY-BOS, with the Yankees winning. I'd guess they'd hold off on the one for the WC race until they can narrow it down to a few more teams. Doesn't look like that will happen though.

That's a childhood thing. When I was young and impressionable, it was the prime of Danny White and Tony Dorsett careers. I loved watching them (probably because they were always on TV).

And I'm willing to put all our political differences aside and stand in COMPLETE solidarity with you Tod! :D Add the SF Giants to the list, and it's 1, 2, 3 strikes you're out!

Sigh, That is so sad 13. Upstate New York has one of the great all time Pro football traditions in the Buffalo Bills. Yeah, so they lost like the Vikes but they had great teams sold out stadiums and EASILY had the coolest player name of all of pro football. How can anyone not love Cookie Gilchrist? :D

The Bills are also the answer to one of the all time great drunken bar bets that will make you money. Bet any "know it all sports" dummy to "Name the pro teams that play their home games in New York?" Two thirds don't even name the Bills and of course the only TRULY New York team is the Bills. ;)

Upstate NY is a more recent development. Growing up in NJ, the Giants and Jets were not options for me. Even though they played in the Meadowlands, they still call themselves NY - so screw them, I'm not going to root for them!
