Better, as usual, but Tarleton still got lucky with the soft landing...

Matches the AGS poll closely, and the anticipated one out shortly. Except may e the bottom. Duquesne is interesting. Although they have the relatively nice win over YSU, YSU has been horribly inconsistent this year and it isn't earth shattering as a result. But the fact that they have the Massey 100/129 schedule makes them seriously borderline.

In the ORV SC St is being robbed after taking down NCCU.

EKU isn't a "terrible" loss. They have 4 losses - 2 are FBS, 1 is your ranked ACU and the last is an SUU that is decent (not great, not dog poo; they have an FBS win and challenged UC Davis earlier this year). That said, I think based on their schedule, they were overrated before the loss and continue to be.

That Central Arkansas loss to UTU.... now THAT is as terrible loss....

WHY is UCA in any poll. Don't pollsters know by now our coaches are gonna D2 everything? Ridiculous. Pathetic.

This is 100% spot on.

That is the worst loss I've seen by a top 10 ranked team considering how late in the season it is. The stat that stood out to me was that Utah Tech held onto the ball for over 40 minutes.

I am thinking that maybe Utah Tech is starting to gel as a team though - they've played pretty well the last couple weeks.

UCA also turned it over 6 times.... they literally couldn't hang onto the ball.

I don't disagree, but top 15 is still fairly soft. Dropping the Texans to 20 would be a little dramatic. The UCA loss was REALLY bad, but because they have a tough schedule and good games, I keep them in the top 25 until it happens again.

You've got to hand it to UTU. When they moved up, they didn't just dip their toe in the water. They went out and compiled some ridiculously tough schedules. That's not going to result in a bunch of W's in the immediate future, but I'm a big proponent for challenging yourself (in pretty much anything you do) and... they weren't playoff eligible for the first few years after the jump anyway so taking lumps didn't cost them anything. It gets your name out there on the recruiting trail. Maybe not ALL good when you get dump trucked 60-14 by tUNA, but people seeing you go out and schedule the SDSU, MSU, Montana's of the FCS world at least gets you seen. There's no such thing as bad publicity, as they say.

I had always respected UTU for their tough scheduling and knew it would eventually pay off.

As I said, I think they were a bit high before the loss and high after, so I agree that top 15 is a soft landing.

For UCA, as much as you hope it doesn't happen, sometimes teams just absolutely lay an egg, like McElvain playing like it's his first time playing handegg. How they each bounce back will be interesting. The Bears have the same EKU that snuck up on Tarleton, while Tarleton gets a bit easier recovery game against West Georgia. Both should be victorious, but AGS. The following week for both is a bit more challenging, with the Texans hosting your Wildcats and UCA hosting the SUU that I previously said was decent and took the Texans to OT. Then the rubber meets the road in the season finale when they meet up in what may be a must-win for both.

SFA gets #8 UIW and #15 ACU back to back for the last two games of the season in Nacogdoches, that should be interesting.

Both the Tarleton/ACU and the SFA/ACU games will be REALLY interesting. SFA may be OOC, but it won't be any less exciting or important. Both SFA and ACU need to win out for their respective conferences.
