I would appreciate any knowledge of players who have
petitioned the NCAA for an extra year of eligibility.
The board seems to like to make judgment on these one
at a time, but is there a specific deadline?

Who are those players who have petitioned thus far,
and what are their chances?

Also, if you could PM response, that would be great.

Steven Whitehead, an All-American WR and Kickoff Specialist already has and was granted it...

RB Eugene Holloman has put in for another year, Matthews is confident he'll get it, but I don't think we've got an official word.

Did Holloman already have a medical redshirt year or just a regular redshirt year? Did that make any sense? Let me try this. Has Holloman had a redshirt year and if so was it a medical redshirt? Sorry.

Does anyone know if Montana RB Reggie Bradshaw will get an extra year after that season ending injury against Albany?

Boynton is right now a RSjunior and should be back.
Scott is a RSSenior (RS2006) played 10 games last season, prob done.

Good question. It would be nice to have him back. It was the third game he played in. Anyone know if that would disqualify him from a Med. Redshirt?

From UR - I think both Sherman Logan (DE) and Tim Silver (OL) both have already applied and been granted a medical redshirt and will be playing next year.

I don't think that will disqualify him; he only played the first 3 games & didn't play after that. As for winning a medical hardship ruling, he has the negative of already redshirting balanced against the positive of missing most of last year and missing the entire 2005 season at Louisville due to injury.

Holloman has not had a redshirt season, medical or otherwise. Holloman was a JUCO transfer who played his first year at JMU as a junior, then was injured in the early part of his second year at JMU (his senior season, last year). Granting a medical redshirt would give him the opportunity to play a full 5th year.
