AGS Top 25 - How They Fared - Week 9, Fall 2024

With 2/3+ season in the bag, I present to you this week's How They Fared. Lot of green (W) in the top 25 and a lot of red (L) in the ORV, with a few head scratchers and a few "Merry Christmas" games mixed within. I'll let the community decide where commenting is needed. Lots of teams in the top of the polls only due to their record (vs Trash Opponents)...lots of teams in the bottom of the polls due to their record (close loses to good football teams)...

Thanks God the AGS voters are smart enough to see through the smoke and rank teams where they deserve to be.

I say this as a fan of a team that started the season 0-3 with two FBS losses. Let the shaking out begin!!!

This would work, except Mercer played Princeton with their #3 QB over half the game, and would probably beat Harvard 35-6.

Also…speaking of “differentials”…

- Mercer beats Massey’s #32, WCU, by 10
- Tarleton beats Massey’s #50, APSU, by 10

Massey drops Mercer by 1 and moves Tarleton up by 2…ahead of Mercer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

FUBeAR may have to reevaluate his commitment to SCIENCE!

Oh come, come. You must realize that the reason for the movement is how the "other" opponents of Mercer and Tarleton did. You know, like how Samford did. Hee Hee Hee. Seriously, if you look at their other opponents' results, it is fairly obvious for the very slight movement.
