Murray State fell short in their bid for an upset over the Redbirds! OSRacer still holding to his guns and faithfully picking the horses week in and week out. Those L's are starting to stack up though! It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for 'em.

Nothing else interesting to note from this week's games.... oh yeah, Bison won I guess...

Congrats to the one and only Bisonator, the only perfect picker this week.

5-way tie atop the standings, though our friendly feline friend still has the best win percentage.

I thought I was previously tied for first with Yo, the other YSU picker. We both had one loss but I’m showing down a game out of first even though I lost the same one game ? Now I’m not in first . Am I nuts ?

Paladin --- I thought about mentioning something, chose not to, but apparently should have! There was unfortunately an accounting error uncovered during a routine independent audit, still performed by myself... because I don't know anyone else that would even care... but looking for reasons to call myself dumb. That was found in week 6 ---- you had picked SIU over Illinois State incorrectly (the other 4 games correctly), and I had entered 5-0 for you that week. I finally got around to automating the weekly tally of correct and incorrect totals which is how I did discover it too, so this won't happen again at least. Mis-entering someone's pick? Certainly possible! I try my best not to mess that up too.

The error can be seen in your column of the Week 6 game summary on the first post of the week 7 pick 'em thread (https://www.anygivensaturday.com/showthread.php?365971-2024-MVFC-Pick-Em-Week-7). I do apologize for not brining the update to your attention, and for the heartache I've caused now that you're not tied for first - nothing nefarious going on... just a dummy being dumb by accident.

I can't comment on or make any official diagnoses for the true status of you being nuts or not overall... but in this specific case, you have been certified as NOT nuts. Again... my bad... Sorry!

Not a problem, RahRah. Had just worried that my Alzheimer’s was flaring again. Thanks for the info. I totally missed it. lol

I agree with Dr. Chaos that an upset is brewing... problem is, he's wrong and I'm right. Going for the super dark horse here, some might even call it a shade of deep purple... or maybe it's a shade of purple rain, purple haze, or purple sky.... Panthers finally wake up and decide to be scrappy in the olllll Uni-dome, taking down the Bears who thought they could take a week off as they got ready to play for the highlight of their season in a few weeks... spoiler at NDSU or vs SDSU.

I gave UNI some upset love last week and they let me down, so I'm done with them. Really, I think a NDSU win is the only obvious pick this week (unless you count an obvious USD win). I'm surprised so many of the picks are the same.

Your problem was picking UNI to upset UND in their airplane hanger. Very few teams that are actually good can even do that.

I'd agree with you though --- SIU at Indiana State could be sneaky close, and the Ice Castle is always a hard place to play where weird things happen regardless of home team strength.

Yotes look good too... never know what'll happen.... but I think Jacks will be okay among the friendly sea of blue.

I considered picking Indy. Really wanted to but figured SIU would heal up from some of their injuries and had backups to beat Indy. But, their reputation precedes them. lol. Good win
