49-14 for the year and I need another perfect week this week. Five games this weekend with Montana and Northern Colorado sitting this one out. Some questions will be answered after this week, mainly will it be Weber State or Sacramento State that continues to flounder. Here are my predictions for this week's games.
CP at UI---The Mustangs returned to their inept ways last week, falling to one of the top teams in the conference. They get another go this week, against a feisty Vandals squad looking for payback after looking out of sorts on the national stage. This should be easier after last week...UI 48, CP 7.
ISU at NAU---The Bengals came home last week and promptly took one on the chin against a conference equal. They go back on the road to the conference darlings, the Lumberjacks, who are eager to have another opportunity to play a complete game. If they do, they get the win...NAU 38, ISU 28.
MSU at PSU---It really doesn't seem to matter who the Bobcats play, they just show up and steamroll the opposition. They head out on the road to the Vikings home den, who tasted victory for the first time in their crazy schedule. Confidence is a good thing, but playing the top team isn't...MSU 52, PSU 21.
UCD at EWU---The last time the Aggies played on the road, they needed a touchdown on the last play to eke out a win. Last week, the Eagles instilled some confidence themselves by getting a tough road win. They get this game at home against a conference foe that won't ever quit...UCD 28, EWU 26.
WSU at SAC---Both teams were left scratching their head after two strange and unforeseen losses last week. The Wildcats fell to the cellar dwellers at home while the Hornets were letting a team off the ropes, also at home. The winner here can still salvage their season. The loser may need help...SAC 24, WSU 21.

Davis 38-27 EWU — The Ags finally stopped playing to their opponents' level last week
Montana St. 38-24 Hillsboro St. — I can see the Viks making this surprisingly difficult for MSU, but their defense isn't good enough to get the W
Weblol 24-31 Sac State — The Contender/Pretender Bowl…
Cal Poly 10-30 Idaho — This is Idaho's first game of the year where their opponent wasn't either ranked (at the time) or FBS xeekx
Idaho St. 21-31 NAU — Picking a score was difficult with NAU's QB situation, but they should win regardless

UM and NC on a bye this week.
CP 13 @ 45 Idaho --- The Vandals looking to get back to earning W's and CP is a cellar dweller looking to rebuild.
ISU 32 @ 38 NAU --- The Skydome can be a tough place to play. The Bengals have a dome of their own, but this will be a tall task for the Bengals. NAU wins with Home field advantage
MSU 33 @ 28 PSU --- The Vikings home field may give the Bobcats a scare in the 1st half, but MSU pulls out the W in the 2nd half.
UC Davis 35 @ 34 EWU --- The Aggies get another walk-off score at the end of the game to win.
Weber 28 @ Sac 34 --- Which BBQ team is going to show up? Sac's 1st 2 conference games have them falling short of W's and they need several more to become playoff eligible and to help impress the FBS conferences.

Cal Poly 13 @ Idaho 31 - The Vandals D is still pretty stout, even if it got run over by MSU last weekend. They should be more than up to the task taking on the Mustangs.
ISU-o 21 @ NAU 33 - Idaho State has a decent offense, but NAU has a decent D and it's in their dome. (Why does NAU only have 5 home games in a 12 game season, 1 of which (Lincoln CA) doesn't matter?)
MSU 45 @ PSU 17 - Portland State has played a murderer's row but they still have one of the worst run D's in the conference. That is not a good recipe against one of the best running attacks in all of FCS.
UC Davis 34 @ EWU 28 - The Eags have shown some life the last 2 weeks, giving UM all it could handle and beating Sac on the road, a surprising change after a rough stretch losing to Drake and SELA. Unfortunately, Davis is a solid team and this weekend all but eliminates EWU from playoff hopes.
Weebs 24 @ Sac St. 28 - A must win for both teams. Giving the home team the slight edge to keep playoff aspirations on life support.

I think the MSU fans may outnumber the PSU fans, but even if not, the raucous crowd of family members of the Vikings players and people who won free tickets from a radio contest should be easily managed by the Bobcats.

Cat fans may outnumber Vik fans, but I paid for my tickets. And I will happily boot any Cat fan from my seats who thinks they can sit anywhere just because they are a Cat fan.:Dxthumbsupx

Viks are the only FCS team to face Ashton Jeanty this year. They did give up a couple big runs to Larison as well when they faced him, but they kept him relatively in check, even after he changed numbers at halftime. But...it seems the Bobcats have three or four Larisons on their team. It will be a tough matchup.

The Vikings' conference-only stats still has them at the bottom of the conference in rushing yards allowed (9th @ 227.7). This came against Weber (3rd in conference-only; 19th overall), Davis (11th; 97th - these rankings are shocking for a Larison-led rushing attack) and Idaho Sate (8th; 75th). MSU is 1st in conference, 2nd in the nation. Weber is the best rushing Big Sky team PSU faced... they gave up 316 yards. These stats do not bode well for Portland State. But..... AGS!

Viks somehow need to keep the Cats under 30 to have a realistic shot at winning. I doubt that will happen. As a matter of fact, I think the Cats will have over that in the first half. But, we'll see. I didn't think they would be able to hang with Davis, but they did (should have got the win xlolx).

I think the Vikings are gelling into a decent team, but that schedule.... oof. Right now, the Bobcats are rolling, though we did lose a key piece of our defense in Danny U (not even going to attempt to spell his name without looking it up xlolx). This 1st game without him will tell us how important he was or if we have enough depth.
