"Tigers running backs coach Greg Ruffin said that would-be senior RB Erik Haw has declared for the NFL draft. Haw’s father passed away last week, and his son has been unavailable for comment.
Haw rushed for a team-high 630 yards and seven touchdowns before missing the last two games after knee surgery.
The Tigers have lost their top four rushers - Haw (draft), RB Lavarius Giles (graduation), QB Jimmy Oliver (graduation) and RB Cody Hull (graduation) - from the 2007 season."

I've followed Haw's career since he played in the Ohio North-South Game and the Big 33 between Ohio and Pa. I thought he was future draft material then and looked for him to do well at The Ohio State University. I had him and Juston Hoskins mixed up in my mind earlier. Nevertheless, with the arrival of Wells and, if I recall, a little use of the wacky-tobacky he was forced to leave the Buckeyes. I also thought he would do better than he did at JSU last season but was unaware of his injury. I think he would have had a "breakout" year if he returned as a senior. I hope he gets his chance in the NFL and is "drafted".:)

I wish Haw the best. He is a good back. But I think we will be just fine. We have a history of producing good running backs. :)

Can't disagree with that. Just a couple that I personally saw Carl Blue and Destry Wright both were monsters against the Jags. I know it was more than that but those were two who always stood out to me.
