In the annual Big South Basketball Media Day on Tuesday, October 15th, the Gardner-Webb University women's basketball team was picked sixth in a poll of league coaches ahead of the 2024-25 season, while senior guard Ashley Hawkins was chosen as the conference preseason player of the year and sophomore guard Anaya Harris received a second team all-conference nomination.
