I didn’t realize we could vote for Missouri State.
Yeah, it is a real weird situation that a couple of us talked about before the season started and the fact that the MVFC has left the door open for them to win the conference title put me in a strange spot this year.
I wish the MVFC would have just said "no" and been done with it.

Glad to see NAU & ETSU remain in the poll after close losses to ranked teams. A little surprised that Montana and William & Mary didn’t tumble a little more after losses to previously unranked teams. Very surprised to see Southern Illinois garnering a few votes after the way they’ve lost their last couple games.

I just said "no" about including Missouri State in the survivor pool, that should be good enough right? xthumbsupx

This week's poll article: https://thefcswedge.com/ags-poll/ags-poll-week-6-top-25-results-6/
A lot of new all-time highs for teams in the AGS Poll this week. I count 5 teams either at or tied with their all-time high ranking including SDSU (#1 - tied obviously), Mercer (#8), SEMO (#9 - tied), Abilene Christian (#11), and Tarleton (#14). 7 of the 12 Big Sky teams are now ranked in the top 25 and the UAC now has 3 in the top 14. It was good to see Idaho's "correction" after I thought they got a little unfairly punished last week although seeing them a spot above UC Davis now in the consensus is still a little odd.

Agreed on Montana and William & Mary. Looks like the consensus had a tough time between #16 and #21, where only about 100 points separated 6 teams, and that helped contribute to some soft landings for them.

I'm failing to see the allure with Richmond. A 10 point win over Elon and a 3 point win over NC A&T do not impress me whatsoever - NC Central beat Elon by 22 and NC A&T by 42 (which is a big rivalry game as well). Wofford hasn't won a game since they beat Richmond a month ago. I don't see Richmond as a top 25 team right now much less at #17 in the consensus.
This was my ballot this week:
1: South Dakota State Jackrabbits

I'm fairly sure it is a lack of suitable teams that keep Richmond there by default. I can see a few more deserving teams, but it's really lean. And arguable of course.

Am happy with that as well - NAU played on the road against a top 10 team, and the AGS voters are smart enough to recognize that.

It's probably what I should have done but these are guidelines established back when Texas State was exiting...so maybe ideas have changed with the poll populace at this point too and I should just check in next season and see if we just want to change it altogether so we don't rely on what seems to have been unreliable this year. I've never had that problem in the past.

I was a little surprised at the drop for W&M but really doesn’t matter. Towson was 1-3 though all road losses - a single point to Villanova, 24-41 at NDSU and 20-38 at FBS Cincinnati - were competitive. Plus the game was at Towson (as opposed to Montana losing at home).
If W&M has the chops, they could/should sweep their remaining games and possibly tie or win the CAA outright. We will see how it goes. Meanwhile, I won’t be surprised to see Towson finish in the upper tier of the CAA.

C’mon … the SocialDivision’s best win is a 1 score win over Wofford that required a TD in the final minutes to take the lead and ended with Woffy throwing 3 incompletions in the W&M end zone from inside the FamilyGroup 40. It was a good, but fortunate win … and Wofford is winless in the SoCon and hasn’t won a game in a month.
FUBeAR doesn’t really see much of a case for W&M to be ranked at all.
But Craig Haley will keep proppin’ y’all up, and, as you note, the schedule ahead is a plate of cream-filled croissants, so you’re good. Prolly a Top 8 seed.

I was joking around, I think you probably did it right since that is what the other polls are doing....including Missouri State and excluding Delaware. It was easy for me to just remove Mo State along with Delaware but it is a tougher proposition for you because we want to include every eligible team so to have the best poll possible. Arguments for and against either way for sure.

Harvard bias is real
UNH just got beat by Harvard
Monmouth beat FBS FIU and played Delaware close, keep an eye on this team as they have some of the best skill players in FCS and might just outscore everyone left in CAA

I have Towson 15th. Presume that has to be the highest. Good FBS showing, should have beaten Villanova on the road, did beat William & Mary handily.
Would be a shame to hold them out of the playoffs if they do go 7-5 because their strength of schedule is pretty rough, but I think they win one of Monmouth or Richmond on the road (currently 40% probability in each match). If they lose, and all three teams are 7-5, that'd be rather unfortunate for the Tigers.
