I do a couple, three hours of research usually and I find it really helps me digest all the conferences. Helps with voting as well.

The game will probably be dropped from the pick'em challenge. I think it is a huge hassle to do a replacement and he is volunteering his time to do it.

I had a couple teams I picked get boat raced by over 40 points and I believe I picked the favorite in both of the games. I just don’t think I there is the intensity and desire to win from a lot of these teams in these “lower” tier conferences. Huge swings in performance week to week it seems.

I believe watching parts of as many games as you can is the key to winning this contest, you basically have to be a sadist to get through 3 minutes of those nor’easter games … unwatchable

One thing I noticed while watching some games of NE schools, and I thought it was just my imagination, but my dad mentioned it as well. Lots of smaller players. There were a couple that were absolutely peewee-like.

A lot of those NE schools would be D2 or D3 if it weren't for D1 basketball, there are some high end D2 teams that would crush most of the NEC and PFL. I watch a fair amount of NE football, particularly the Ivy league and the differences between them and the quality teams of the Midwest, South and West is pretty striking. There have been a few decent Ivy teams in that past couple years, Princeton was decent a couple years back, but they are few and far between. Very few of the teams have a home field advantage because there is nobody at the games. I have watched a fair amount of Patriot league games this year, mostly HC and Lafayette.

Hurricane-related travel delays have prevented Team FUBeAR’s HBCU & Southland Board Subcommittees from convening a quorum. We are hopeful, via the tireless efforts of various state & local governments, FEMA, and the North Georgia Executive Heliport, we can gather those 2 groups this morning to complete their deliberations by 11:30 AM ET. Once the full Team FUBeAR Board has reviewed & ratified their recommendations, we should be able to compile and submit our final selections by 11:59 AM ET.

With the timing out issues AGS has been having since last night, FUBeAR feared that might happen with his submission, but it seemed to go OK. Yes - FUBeAR knows it’s a separate platform, but the glitchies have been known to be contagious.

Maybe if you post your picks here now - if possible - the Commissioner will allow some leniency. FUBeAR hopes not, of course…but maybe.

Team FUBeAR’s Investor Group experienced hurricane-related inconveniences and was knocked off our game this week. We are filing a claim with the Insurance Carrier for our consortium.

Got 22 this week, the wife had 16, she is pouting now, she is gonna take next week's list, cut the teams into little pieces and draw them out of a hat, she will probably get 28 correct. The week after that I am gonna give her the names of the team's mascots and she will use those criteria. Be a lot of teams with dogs as mascots getting the nod.
