I just saw this on espn.com. I grew up a Raiders fan and still am to some extent but i hate Al Davis. Why would he want Kiffin to resign? I read that Kiffin refuses to sign it, good for him Even though the Raiders won only 4 games they were pretty competitive and showed some progress from last years disaster. Al Davis is by far the worst owner is pro sports. He makes Nolan from the Knicks look a genius. If Kiffin does leave i think it would be poetic justice if no on accepted the job. It is by far the worst job in pro sports.

They have Jerry Porter on live now and broke it while he was on hold, so he's stumbling for words...
:D
What a joke Davis is. Kiffen was the first coach to get a divisional win since 02 or 03...

Al Davis needs to get out of the way and let Kiffin work. As a hardcore Raiders fan with a network of even more hardcore Raider fans, we all thought that with Russell in the balance now, and with what will probably be another good drafting class, we can only improve on 2007. The future is bright but to take Kiffin out now would be not only stupid, but irresponsible to the success of Los Malosos.
F#@! Al Davis, get out of the way you old fart!

this is the same guy who turned down a 1st round pick during the 2006 season to send Moss to New England and eventually got I believe a 4th rounder from the Patriots for Moss on draft day lol

This will now be coach #200 in a 15 year span. Al Davis doesn't give these guys the time they need. No wonder Oakland is the laughing stock of the NFL?!
He has to be the most ungrateful boss to work for. AMAZING!!! xnonono2x

Since Al Davis traded Jon Gruden to Tampa in 2002, there have been four coaches (soon to be a fifth)
Bill Callahan (2002-2003)
Norv Turner (2004-2005)
Art Shell (2006)
Lane Kiffin (2007)
TBD (2008)

Actually, the weird part is that this story seemed perfectly plausible to sports fans everywhere, myself included. Sad days in Oakland indeed.

Oh it seemed plausible it just seems like a weird rumor to start.
Guy A: I hate Kiffen, and Davis too, what can I say that would normally be ludicrous but makes sense here and shows how stupid Davis is and maybe gets rid of Kiffen too!!! I got it!!!

There were almost too many details in this story to be fully made-up. Plus the NFL network dued (Schefter...) thinks there's something to it as well.

So far this is the only place saying that Kiffen got the axe. This article is from the 15th you would think some one else would have reported it if it was true.
