UNH at Harvard 6 pm- very tough call- IVY seems like Jekyll and Hyde- should be good game
Bryant at Brown 12 pm-
UAlbany at Cornell 1 pm- the fall from grace continues as disinterested Dogs lay an egg
Delaware at Monmouth 1 pm- can one of the best Offenses in FCS withstand the mighty blue blood Hens? Will C-hen and Chicken blame on injuries when we take it to them? Can MU D stop DEL?
NC A&T at Richmond 2 pm- not sure at all
Rhode Island at Hampton 2 pm- jury still very much out on URI
Villanova at Stony Brook 3:30 pm - Really intriguing with game at SB- Nova has underwhelmed IMO and SB will be up for this as will fans- But pedigree holds?
NC Central at Campbell 4 pm- Geez talk about a coin flip
William and Mary at Towson 6 pm- Will Towson be the best 1 win team in Nation if they lose?

Brown- Rhode Island’s non governors cup goes to Brown.
Cornell- Playing better football than the Danes
Delaware- both teams have a good offense, chickens have a better D though.
Richmond- NC looking worse by the week.
URI- Hampton about to spiral after that loss to W&M
Nova- finds a way to eeek out a win
Soup U- finds a way to win at home.
Tribe- beat Towson by 10
UNH- should execute a good clean game and beat Harvard who isn’t used to losing by 10-17

No, ESPN+ and NESN (New England Sports Network). Apparently they think no one outside of New England cares about this game. Either that or Harvard didn't want too many fans watching a likely loss to that cow college up north in New Hampsha.

This Saturday's game between Spiders and Aggies should be battle of the walking wounded then.

Big week on the league which features 5 conference games and 3 OOC match-ups with Ivy League opponents. Among the league games, three will have significant early impact on the CAA race:
DELAWARE (4-0) @ MONMOUTH (3-2)
Hens and Hawks are lighting up the scoreboards, both averaging 40+ ppg. This one looks like a track meet on paper - so whoever shows up with a couple defensive stops should take this. My hunch is that will be Delaware. The Hens lead this series 2-0, the only CAA match-up last year in Newark, Hens won 49-17. Both previous games were in Newark.
#6 VILLANOVA (4-1) @ STONY BROOK (4-1)
Game of the week in the CAA. Seawolves have been the big surprise so far, coming in on a four game win streak after an 11 game losing streak. Nova has only a single loss @ Maryland and have won the balance of their games pretty much as expected. Enough to earn the leagues highest ranking. Villanova leads the series 4-3 and took last years game 48-13. I think this one will be close to start with VU pulling away late.
#12 W&M (4-1) @ TOWSON (1-3)
Big test for the Tribe which have been picking up steam, 3 straight wins, after a loss @ FBS Coastal Carolina. The Tribe has rushed for over 300 yards last two games. Towson comes in off a bye to celebrate Family Weekend. The Tigers have been very competitive in all four games. Their losses have come against FBS (Cincinnati) and two top 10 ranked FCS opponents, Villanova and ND State. Tribe leads the series 11-8 but blew a 17-0 lead last year in Williamsburg, losing 24-34.
NC A&T (1-4) @ RICHMOND (3-2)
Spiders coming into this one with rising momentum, three straight double digit wins. The trend very similar to 2023 when UR won their last 7 regular season games to tie for the CAA crown. The Aggies meanwhile are really struggling, losing by wide margins other than their win vs D2 Winston Salem. Spiders lead series 2-0 and won last year, 33-10. UR rolls at home.
#23 URI (3-1) @ HAMPTON (3-2)
URI comes in off a bye while Hampton took it on the chin @ W&M Saturday after a promising start vs a schedule of mostly old MEAC rivals. The Rams have won primarily with defense and have also bagged two wins based on Q4 comebacks. URI leads this series 2-0 though this is the first CAA match-up among the two. Expect the Rams will pick up another win here and hold on to their top 25 ranking.
OOC
UNH (3-1) @ Harvard (1-1)
Friday night match-up in Cambridge, should be an entertaining game. Harvard has won all 7 previous games vs the Wildcats. UNH is 22-42-3 vs Ivy opponents though all but one of those wins have come against Dartmouth. UNH is coming in off a bye and 3 game win streak. Harvard will be hungry after blowing their Ivy opener @ Brown, 28-31 on Saturday. A UNH win would push the Wildcats into the upper tier of the CAA pack. With home field though, I think this one favors the Crimson.
BRYANT (1-3) @ Brown (2-0)
Speaking of Brown, the early Ivy leader is hosting their new in-state rival on a high, a huge win vs preseason favorite, Harvard. Bryant has struggled in their CAA inaugural season, a single win, a late rally to beat D2 Franklin Pierce. Brown leads this series 6-2 and won last game 29-25 in 2022. Brown should take this one by double digits.
UALBANY (1-3) @ Cornell (1-1)
Two teams going in opposite directions. Danes have been spiraling downward, losing now three consecutive games, the last a 20-34 home loss to Maine. Cornell rallied back last weekend and routed Yale, 47-23. Cornell won the only previous match-up vs UAlbany 23-21 in 2006. This one will depend on which Cornell team shows up - the one who lost to Colgate or beat Yale. I also think the Danes may correctly feel their backs against the wall and come in with more emotion. I think that’s a likely outcome, Danes pull out a win.

Winners in bold
UNH at Harvard Crimson by 7
Bryant at Brown Brown beats in-state rival
UAlbany at Cornell Danes reeling after Maine loss, regroup on the road.
Delaware at Monmouth This is best CAA game of the day. Hens are banged up and Monmouth is hot but going with the Hens to squeak out a 3 point win
NC A&T at Richmond Spiders win big
Rhode Island at Hampton Rams need a win bad
Villanova at Stony Brook Nova's offense still stuck in 2nd gear but the defense will control SBU. Cats by 10 in a low scoring game.
NC Central at Campbell Camels have disappointed and barely got by Delaware State and Central is better than the Hornets
William & Mary @ Towson Towson is overdue for a big win

I think you might be looking at this one through Crimson Colored glasses S Bull. Harvard did win the only 7 games these two teams have played, but all seven occurred between 1929 and 1939 when Harvard was the equivalent of P5 and UNH was below NAIA. Even so UNH kept'em close, with Harvard holding a razor thin margin in total games scoring of 282 - 3.
Harvard did not dominate Stetson the entire game 2 weeks ago. At times the Hatters got pretty good pressure on the Harvard QB and for several Harvard offensive series Stetson stacked the box and stopped the run. Harvard All Ivy 1st Team RB, Shane McLaughlin is good, not great - he's no Bronson Yoder and no better than UNH starter Isaac Seide. The primary QB Jaden Craig played well in both the Harvard games I watched, decent arm, good instincts and elusive - but probably not as overall effective as UNH's Seth Morgan. Our defense looks better than Harvard's except perhaps Harvard might have the best LB on the field in Mitchell Gonser. The best defender in the 2023 Ivy League, Wande Owens from Yale, is now roaming around our defensive backfield as a Whip Safety like a heat seeking missile. He particularly dislikes the color crimson and has caused havoc with Harvard in the past. Now we senior citizens may walk into Harvard Stadium and sense the aura of great days in the past, but college age kids? They'll see a stark edifice badly in need of repair or renovation and wonder why if Harvard has so much money, why can't they tear this old thing down and build a nice stadium.

I think your game projections are factual, and pretty neutral in tone. I enjoy reading them. I'm looking forward to going to this game and I watched most of Harvard's 1st two 2024 games on TV. I wanted to share my thoughts, clarify the details of Harvard 7-0 record vs UNH, and inject a bit of levity in the process.

Harvard 30 New Hampshire 27: The Crimson/Ivies are often hard to gauge early in the year. I think Harvard steps up their game in a major way at home...
Brown 38 Bryant 33: If Brown can sneak past Harvard, they're capable of taking down a struggling CAA team...
Cornell 31 Albany 20: Jameson Wang will be the best player on the field. I like the Big red to make it a clean sweep for the Ancient 8 against the CAA...
Delaware 49 Monmouth 45: This might be the most entertaining game of the week! I have to think the stadium will be rocking since this will be UD's last visit to West Long Branch....
Richmond 40 NC A&T 17: Richmond who rarely wins in impressive fashion will flex some against a struggling Aggies team...
Villanova 24 Stony Brook 20: I really wanted to pick the upstart Seawolves but I just think 'Nova will once again find a way to win...
NC Central 42 Campbell 34: NC Central is quietly putting together another solid season. I don't trust the Camels...
William & Mary 30 Towson 20: I'll go with the Tribe but a Tiger win would not shock me. Towson remains the great enigma in the CAA imo....

LOL- It was a weirdly officiated game- and that was not a great call, the problem was the call on the field was wrong and video did not show the ball well. The funniest play was towards the of the 3rd quarter when we converted a 3rd and 6 on a beautiful short fade in the red zone every Delaware fan was crying foul when they saw the "ball" come out and thought it was mafia style stealing of a game. Even some MU fans did not understand as the video showed "the ball" coming out- Problem is it was the players "shoe" and a clean and very good catch. But 2 Delaware fans close to me legitimately said we must have paid the refs- When I explained to them that there was NO CHANCE the refs could go to replay and still call it a catch if indeed they saw what they saw, they said (jokingly) that I must be the guy paying them!! They were a nice older couple who asked about 6 people how they can listen to the Mets/Phillies on the radio for the drive home.. Guess they do not know what Phone Internet is to look that info up.

Yeah, you’re right the stolen touchdown pass, bad call on the field and the lack of video replay angles never clarified it
watching the shoe coming off play in real time got me too, the replay clearly showed it was his shoe was coming off.
One other call I didn’t understand was when your guy jumped on quarterback Marker and ripped his helmet off after he was laying on the ground, but they call a personal foul on Marker?
mind you I’m watching with no sound

First of all bad mistake on your part (unless you needed to do this for other reasons) but Our announcers are VERY good. Emory Hunt an Eddy Ochipinti , two of the best in the biz and NOT homers- so a shame you missed the good commentary. Second, the marker play was the correct call but people do not understand the rules (not you- others)- It was a personal foul on Monmouth and penalized as such, but it was a 4th down play in which Marker failed to reach the line of gain. On 4th down as soon as the play is over (QB being down) it immediately becomes a dead ball. The flag was on the seconf MU player coming in but marker was already down and tackled short of the line to gain and hence being it 4th down, it is now a dead ball. Had that been 3rd down it would have been 1st and 10 Delaware after tacking on 15 or in this case half the distance. But it was a dead ball after the play call and in this case after the play meant Del had already turned the ball over on downs.
