Nice article on Flacco. With his size and arm strength I'm sure he will make some NFL team happy as a backup.xthumbsupx

"One team that appears to have honed in on Flacco is the Chicago Bears. Team scouts attended the I-AA title game to see Flacco, and Bears coach Lovie Smith and six of his assistants were interested observers at the North team practice Monday."

If Chicago takes him at #14, I doubt he'll be backing up anyone for long.

Chicago wont be taking Flacco at #14, maybe #14 in the third round, IMO

Flacco isn't a 1st rounder but could go in the second for sure if he continues his strong workouts....

Anyone watch 1st and 10 on ESPN2 this morning. They had Dan Pompei on "cover 2" with a nice little plug on Joe Flacco. Saying his stock is rising after practices at the Senior Bowl.

As I've said before, the thing that I don't like is everyone just talks about his physical attributes. I can list a ton of QBs with great physical attributes that did horrble in the NFL. What I want to hear about is the other factors. How's the footwork? How's his throwing mechanics? How's his football knowledge? Is he a leader? Do his teammates like him?
Size can only get you so far in the NFL.xnodx

Todd Mcshay, draft guy for ESPN, has a video on ESPNU site talking about Senior Bowl QB's and said Joe could "possibly be an early 2nd round pick or even end of 1st round.

Now you can say what you want about draft experts BUT I would bet they know more about these kids then some Joe Schmoe from USD or APP ST. I'm sure they know more than some schumck from Delaware like me.
