What happens to NY Crusader if Whooping Cough wins again?

Not trying to stir that WC pot again... but I am truly curious about how Supreme Ruler Chalupa Batman would handle a potential unforeseen cancellation (for any reason). Try to get them to make a new pick if there's any time remaining, and a big fat L if they don't repick?

That's a great question! I would do it pretty much like I did in the 2021 season in case a game got cancelled with Covid:

If it happened with enough notice (I think I went before 6pm ET the day before the game was scheduled), I would consider that enough time to make a new pick. I would message anyone affected by the cancellation and they would have to pick a new game or they would be eliminated. If it happened after 6pm ET the day before the game was scheduled, I would still message anyone affected and see if they can get a new pick in, but certainly understand on the short notice if they weren't able to get one in. In the case the game was cancelled on the day the game is scheduled, and no replacement pick was made, the player would remain in the pool but would have to pick TWO games the following week.
