Wondering why no one among the MVFC fans volunteered to continue the MVFC pick'em this season... xsighx

Why volunteer when we can blindly depend on the one and only, Chalupa Batman, to handle all things contest related? Thanks for the nudge, bonarae... I had been thinking the same thing but didn't want to step on anyone's toes as a fairly new poster to this forum.

Good news is... none of you have made the wrong pick through the first 2+ weeks! Time to get this thing started.

Yeah.... it's something alright.... I believe it was actually the fastest sell-out ever for us though. Between it being the Beef Bowl - so lots of banks/lenders are providing tickets for their indentured farmer servants, and the big money old-timers who are all nostalgic for a matchup with the South Dakotan Vikings of yesteryear... it didn't even make it past the presale for season ticket holders to buy single game tickets. Students will say 'Augustana who?'... this ain't the 80's anymore after all....

They do have a respectable D2 football team though (Ferris State anyone?). With it being a regional team, I except them to have a pretty big chip on their shoulder... whole bunch of kids that feel they should be playing for the Jacks/other D1's instead of Vikings. Similar to when we've played Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa State, or Nebraska in the past.... always a story of a local home-town kid that got snubbed by the bigger team.

It aged just fine. Fluke wins aside. I am still dropping them in my poll. They might be in the top 10, barely, but they are going nowhere with that soft assed defense.
