I hope they didn't pay much for that report, because unless that's the sumamry version, it shows minimal effort into the issues A&M-CC will face.

The reports for South Alabama and (way back when) George Mason were much more detailed. Then again, maybe a short document is all CC wants right now to get this moving.

A minimal effort might be all that TAMU-CC wanted. You have to remember that the iniative to look at starting football was not made by the university; a study to look at iniating football was a mandate from the Southland Conference before TAMU-CC was admitted.

I am not saying that the TAMU-CC administartion does not want football, I have no idea what they favor. All I am saying is that they did not start the process on their own. A very minimal study might be their way of fulfilling an obligation they made to the Southland, with absolutely no intention of actually starting a program.

As they say, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink."

Football would work at Corpus I think. The nearest city is San Antonio...which won't have football til UTSA adds it. The only sports team around is their minor league team of the Astros.

Actually Corpus Christi is a great place with minor league sports. In addition to the Hooks, another minor league baseball team plays in the area: The Aviators

along with a minor-league hockey team (The Rayz)... http://www.ccrayz.com/

...and for good measure; TWO arena football teams: The Sharks

A&M-CC with football...

Not sure if it will work. The biggest hurdle is the stadium issue due to the limited space on campus. No question the campus is getting ready to grow and will hit that mark that they have circled (10,000) soon.

We'll keep tabs on the Isles...we've been doing so since they discussed coming into the SLC...
