Reported today that the Patriot League has suspended Bucknell basketball HC Pat Flannery for one game due to a recent tirade he threw at refs during the Holy Cross game. He will miss the Bison's next game with Lafayette, who is undefeated in the league.
Flannery may have a great basketball mind, but his antics have bothered me for years, and he should have had this sanction given to him more than once over the years. Can't imagine what he did to finally get the League to put its foot down. Anyone out there witness the latest theatrics??

I've witnessed 2 fights in Chicago Public League high school games over the weekend. It happens frequently.

One was a guys game where Simeon (Derrek Rose the PG at Memphis went there) was killing a team and two guys got tied up going for a board and then all hell broke loose. They nailed eachother in the face, the benches emptied, the stands emptied and after order was restored the fans started throwing pennies on the floor, and the game was called.

2 days ago, a womens game with Marshall and an out of state team was cancelled before halftime when a huge fight broke out with the benches and stands emptied onto the court.
