IDAHO should have moved up after #3 Oregon close all game. SDSU should have moved done getting stomped by a unranked FBS team. MONTANA STATE--barely beats a team they were favored to beat by 14 and beats a high school team and they move up?

Pretty sure Oklahoma State was ranked, no?

Not quite.
Oklahoma St was ranked 17th and looks to be a legitimate contender in the Big 12.
Curb stomping is a bit harsh. Oklahoma St only out-gained SDSU by six yards. It was a 24-13 game midway through the third quarter. A convincing win for Oklahoma St, no doubt about it, but you're being hyperbolic.
Also, on Montana State -- they beat Utah Tech 31-7 and held them to six first downs. In what world is that "barely beating"?

SDSU played at the #17 FBS team.

I too do not think the Cats should have moved up. Both the Cats and Griz did what they were suppose to do. There was no reason to swap them.

on scoreboard yes, #17 OK State finished way more drives. But statistically from LOS, it was mostly even game. OSU had modest advantage in 1st downs. But total yards, time of possession, # punts were all pretty much very even. Looking at the drive chart ... SDSU had 13 drives with just one starting beyond the 25 yd line (29 yd line). OK St had 13 drives with 8 starting beyon the 25 yd line, incl 5 of those 8 beyond the 40 yd line. Give OK St credit for managing the field position .. but this was the difference between the score vs stats. From LOS, it was an even game. Given how much SDSU lost from the 2 Natty teams, this is impressive.
but hardly a curb stomping in any way that suggests they should be dropped in rankings.

Not seeing it for Villlanova or Incarnate Word:
- Villanova lost a lot from their explosive offense last year .. top 3 RBs and top 3 WRs. Their returning QB really struggled without those weapons against YSU, who by all accounts were expecting a tough year on defense. I can see top 20 or 15, given how good they were a year ago .. but not top 5.
- Incarnate Word ... still not getting this one at all ... last or this year. They were 8-2 last year with a win over a D-II. Some polls had them #11 ging They played zero playoff teams. The lost to the toughest FCS team on their schedule, 6-5 Nicholls St by 13 at home. Nicholls St got auto bid at 6-4 and got trounced 35-0 by SIU. IW barely beat the next best 3 FCS teams. Add to that, IW only returns 8.2 of 22 starters. They were active on portal, but there is no reason for this preseason ranking whatsoever. Now they beat UNC 28-7, who was 0-11 last season and Keepers ranks #88 in returning starts/stats.
They were a preseason #7 last season (Stats/Coaches), and finished #11 on Coaches Poll despite not making playoffs. Stats and Selection Committee figured it out by end of season, though Stats still had them #22. AGS had them #24. Yet they start this year again in top 10 in every poll.
They had a nice run in 2021 and 2022. Those players are gone. They weren't even top 30 a year ago. And theyve done nothing to earn preseason top 20, much less top 10. I give them props for scheduling SDSU and SIU nonconf .. good timing as both lost a fair amount from a year ago per Keepers. Let's see how those 2 games in the next 2 weeks. SIU is getting a little too much love as well, given what theyve lost.

edit: need to correct IW comment they didn't play any playoff teams, and then contradicted my own point a couple sentences later. Initially I saw 6-5 record and assumed they didn't make playoffs. Then double checked to learn they were a 6-4 autobid, but forget to correct.

Does the word still run a pretty fast paced passing offense? If that’s the case I wouldn’t be surprised to see this game as a 49-40 type offensive shootout

The first week is always hard.
yeesh, tell me about it. We went from one of our best P5 halves ever to one of our worst. Though Iowa may end up in contention for 12 team CFP playoff ... at least we're hoping that's how it ages.

Does the word still run a pretty fast paced passing offense? If that’s the case I wouldn’t be surprised to see this game as a 49-40 type offensive shootout
First, they have to get off the field on defense to get the ball on offense. Last year, IW lost to Nicholls St 45-32 in early November .. gave up 45 pts. Then Nicholls St played SIU a month later in 1st round of playoffs and got shut out 35-0. That's last December but still ... a big difference in defensive levels of MVFC.
But once they are on offense, IW against 0-11 Northern Colorado got 4 TDs, one on a very short field. In total, they had 13 drives ... 4 nice drives, one 36 yd drive, and then 8 drives of 16 yds or less. That just won't cut it against SDSU, who played #16 OK St mostly even statistically from LOS ... though got beat handily on scoreboard due to huge disparities in starting field position all game ... something like 10-20 yards on nearly every possession.
I have no skin in game against IW ... I just honestly dont get all the love. They had a nice short run. They may even have another. But until they do, let's make them earn top 10 or even top 25 love.
