The Pats are favored by 13, I took the Giants + 13 but I still think the Pats will win and shut mercury morris up for good. 19-0 if it doesn't happen now it won't happen again in my life.

you would think most non Giants and non Dolphin fans would be rooting for the Patriots for the same reason...

Afterall, the Patriots players arent gonna be so jerkish about going 19-0 as some Dolphins players have been.... but you can bet your ass some Patriots fans will.... lol

I do suppose thats where the problem is :p

I know Vegas has to be smarter than I am, but how did they come up with this line? The Giants are getting 13 or 14 points when they played the Patriots within a field goal in Week 17? Really?

If you're going to take the Pats, you'll get a better deal in a week and a half when all the money on the Giants knock it down to eight or nine. If you want the Giants, you'd best get your money in like right now.

you cant count on the Giants repeating the performance from week 17.

The were the only team to score 5 TDs on the Patriots this year, the chances of that happening again?

The Patriots have also just shut down two of the best second half offenses in football the past 2 weeks.

Add into that the Patriots offense playing in a warn enviornment and you might get some of those results we saw in the first half of the season.

sportsbook dropped the line from 13 to 12 overnight

It's a 13 point spread. It should be 100% New England. This poll is useless.

Had the Giants blown out Dallas and Green Bay the line would have been around 9, perhaps 8. They didn't. So the two touchdown opener made sense.

I pick the Pats to win...but not by 13...

Be real...that large a spread is to get the wagers in on the Giants...

I say Pats by 5...

The Giants are 10-0 on the road so far, and this in all intents and purposes is a road game. Eli's found his grove, the twin running backs are racking up some TDs...and if only Tynes can actually make the FGs he's given...Giants by three.

There not 10-0 on the road... there 10-1 on the road.

PS The Patriots are 8-0 on the road so there not exactly slouches away from Foxboro

We'll see. Like you said, they're smarter than we are.

All Vega$ wants is for an equal amount of money to be bet on both sides.
Then they win, no matter what the final score is.

He made the one that counted the most. :D

The only reason the line on the Super Bowl is so high is because the oddsmakers want to get some money exchanged. As it gets closer, the line will drop. By kickoff, I bet its down around 7 or 8. Either way, Eli Manning is not as good as he looks right now and its really starting to tick me off. He's a marginal quarterback that is riding the coat tails of his last name. I can't wait to see him get humiliated on the biggest stage in sports! New England is going to wipe the floor with New York, IMHO.

First of all, I rooted against them both every step of the way. I hate Eli Manning, and am sick of the Patriots. That said, I want to shut those Dolphins up once and for all. I don't think the Patriots actually thought the Giants were going to come at them how they did last time. Also, Belichcik given two weeks will find a way to screw with Manning's head. This one is over by the end of the first quarter and a half. Also, this is the game they've been waiting for since mid-October.
Patriots 48 Giants 17.

Eli is not a great quarterback, that is all anyone is saying. But he hasn't had to be. He's been doing what he needs to do...not turn the ball over. I voted for the Pats in this poll, but to see all the hate for poor Eli when all he has done is led his team to the superbowl by beating three division champs in a row all on the road...I think it will be a good game, but that the Giants won't have enough. Hope I'm wrong and they win

Eli had a career day against the Patriots 4 weeks ago..!!!
I agree Peems - he's good (and can be great) and he is making the right choices in the pocket...

The Giants can win this game with their defense...
if they can score 24 points they can win... the Giants have a lagit shot..!!!

I can see a 50-year old Randy Moss doing the same crap in 20 years. I would think just about every non-Patriots fan is rooting for the Giants because of Belicheat and the arrogance of that organization.

Why not? xconfusedx

The Giants had nothing to play for that game. The Pats had their undefeated season on the line. And the Giants almost beat them.

This Giant team going to the Super Bowl is a much better team than the one the Pats saw in week 17. I don't think you can say that about the Pats. xnodx

The other poll only had about 5 people picking the Giants, and then a bunch of people picked them to win after the game ended. Lame.
