One of the Tribe's most athletic and dynamic groups this season will be the linebacking corps. In addition to featuring a pair of team captains in seniors Alex Washington and Quinn Osborne, the unit also features a number of talented returners and one of the top incoming transfers in the FCS, Jonathan Hammond. A graduate transfer from Davidson, Hammond was a four-time All-Pioneer League selection with the Wildcats and ranks among the country's top 10 active players in career sacks (22). Once again leading the group will be co-defensive coordinator Bo Revell (inside linebackers) and Darryl Blackstock (rush ends), while the staff is bolstered with the addition of first-year assistant Kevin Jarrell (field linebackers) who accepted the new role during the spring after a standout playing career with the Tribe as a team captain and linebacker.
