HAMPTON, Va. (August 31, 2024) … Hampton running back Elijah Burris earned honorable mention HBCU All-America honors, it was announced by Boxtorow. The senior led the Pirates in rushing last season, averaging 114.7 yards per game, second most in the Coastal Athletic Association. The Gastonia, N.C., native, also had seven receptions and six touchdowns. Burris rushed for more than 100 yards five times in 2023 including 173 yards and four scores in a victory at Maine.
