ORANGEBURG, SC--During Bulldog Spring Football we had a chance to sit down with Special Teams Coordinator/Safeties Coach Kevin King. King is in his first season on the SC State football coaching staff. King comes to South Carolina State from Benedict College where he was the Special Teams Coordinator and Safeties Coach. During his time at Benedict, Coach King was part of back-to-back SIAC Championship, as well as back-to-back Top 5 Defenses in the country at the Division 2 level. Prior to that, Coach King spent time at Franklin Pierce University, Oklahoma Panhandle State University and The Southern University A&M College, where he worked with current South Carolina State head coach Chennis Berry for three seasons.
