Wow - tough!

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will open the 2008 football season at Oklahoma on Aug. 30, multiple UTC athletic department officials have confirmed this week. The officials declined to comment on the record until a formal announcement is made next week.

The Mocs are scheduled to face Florida State on Sept. 13, so they will play a pair of "money" games in the first three weeks of their 12-game schedule. The UTC athletic department is expected to receive more than $900,000 for the two games.

Athletic director Rick Hart has ties to both Oklahoma and FSU. He worked at Oklahoma for several years before coming to UTC, and his father, David, recently stepped down as the Seminoles' athletic director.

Those are two tough games! But if they can do anything to those teams like they did to Arkansas in LR..look out! Heck, the pigs even had mcfadden and the mocs still made it a game..xthumbsupx

Assuming that Chattanooga needs the money ( and don't we all) it is good scheduling. I don't think their playoff chances are any better this year than in the past so 2 auto losses will not hurt them and they can pocket the cashxnodx

Kudos for stepping up in scheduling, work hard this off season. Richmond did that in '01 (Vandy & UVA- two losses), played well in both games but experienced a number of season ending injuries, hopefully you don't follow suit with our luck.
