Any breath wasted talking about that POS isn't worth it.
With that said, he is the epitome of a megalomaniac, period.

I think these two paragraphs sum him up well:
“There was a part of me that always felt like I kind of went back into something that I’d already done,” VanGorder said. “I remember we were playing Citadel and there were 6,000 people there. I did that back when I was at Wayne State in the early ’90s. I just felt like, what did I do?
“But I did enjoy transitioning that program and kind of getting it updated from a facilities standpoint, an academic standpoint, a training standpoint, a teaching standpoint. It just needed so much. What we did was really solid and good. If we could’ve kicked extra points and field goals, you probably wouldn’t be hearing that kind of talk. But we just didn’t that year.”

Wow, I am sorry I read that article. xsmhx
I root for South Carolina only because they bear my states name and then only half heartedly. I am equal in rooting for USC and Clemson. But I suppose next year it will be much easier to say.

The more I think about that article the more pissed I get.
To put down the SoCon (and effectively all FCS) saying he went back into to something he had already done. What is he so stupid that he did no due diligence before taking the jobxrolleyesx you did not know anything about the conference you were going to coach in? (Then you are stupidxrolleyesx xrolleyesx ) "But I did enjoy transitioning that program (into the ground) and kind of getting it updated from a facilities standpoint, an academic standpoint, a training standpoint (you didn't teach them how to lose with dignity:p Sorry I couldn't resist:o xlolx) , a teaching standpoint. It just needed so much. What we did was really solid and good."
There is not a person that watched SoCon footbal that did not realize we were watching a relatively talented team being coached for failurexsmhx
Be a man, admit it. You sucked as a head coachxcoolx

I've never been a Gamecock fan, far from it. But if Spurrier wasn't even more of a reason to dislike the University of South Carolina, Brian Van Gorder certainly is.

I was hoping SOS would hire anyone but VanGorder.
South Carolina is my alma mater, so it would be hard for me to root against my gamecocks.
Fans are so hungry for a winner that if VG doesn't produce, they will run him off, just like Tyrone Nix.
