View Full Version : Is it me or are the bowls showcase vehicles for dumb endzone theatrics

...players? I know I'll be called a racist, so go for it.

Seemed every bowl has some idiot do something stupid in the enzone and get a penalty. Are these guys showboating for the pros?

Sorry they all were black. I was keeping score on an Excel spreadsheet.

Maybe it's because they score most of the touchdowns and they're just having fun.

Don't forget about this guy, flapping his arms like a bird every time he scores. I guess he's just light skinned? xconfusedx

He is just talking about the majority of players. Some white players do it too.

You played defense right? You never did anything after a big hit or a great goal line stand

Yes, but it didn't cost my team a penalty.

I agree they score most of the touchdowns. I'm talking bout the **** they don't do all year but do it in a bowl game. I think quite a few of em are doing it to pad their videos for pro scouts or to get laid.

Tebow doesn't cost his team a penalty.

I hate pro ball because of people like TO, that ****head from Cincinatti, etc. I don't like what college ball is becoming.

I love the endzone flip - it is dumb but fun to watch. Alot more fun to watch than the chop blocking I've watched by many offensive linemen - who mostly happened to be white......(yes that includes Montana's Cody Balogh).

I think that's because the refs knew having you out there was the equivalent of a 10 yd. penalty every play anyway so they didn't want to flag you on top of that.

Maybe so Tillie. Black athletes are marvelous to watch, especially in college ball where sportsmanship is or should be the guiding attitude. In pro ball, it's all about marketing and celebrity. I see a blurring of the two "leagues", big Division 1 and the NFL. Tough seeing college kids act like ****heads, getting in gang fights, taunting, cheapshots and all. Maybe that's the way it is now.

Sorry but I rarely see white players involved.

I guess with the NFL, it's not so much the players I really hate, it's their fans.

To answer you're question, we play with attitude that most white players dont play with. Go check out a lil league football game this upcomming season. Check out a majority white team, and then check out a majority black team, there will be a difference. In 1990 I played for a team called the Central Park Chargers, a park team in Birmingham. We were an all-black team in a majority white league. There was one other team that was majority black and that was the Crest Wood Colts. Back then the towel and bandana was very popular. Our entire team wore blue towel hanging from our pants and blue and yellow bandanas, noone else besides Crest Wood did that. We probably wore matching wrist bands, and we actually go spatted, towards the end of the year the whole team got spatted one foot in yellow the other in blue. Crest Wood did pretty much the same. We had team chants, and we were an aggressive football team. We were hated because of that! We beat the living ***** out of everyone. We were scoring 40+ points every week. We played with attitude. We never got flagged for doing anything in a game but we did jump up and celebrate a lil bit. Players are different.
