In the midst of all the coaching hoopla, the Colonels have released the 2008 schedule.
I'm hoping that Sept. 13 matchup against Morehead State will quell the Dayton Flyers fans on here that continuously rip the OVC.

Looks like a rough start for EKU.... Losses to two FBS teams to start the season, followed by a spanking from the PFL's Morehead State!

Interesting that Western Kentucky is going to go to EKU. Most delusional I-AA/FCS to I-A/FBS converts think they're too good for that.

They were contractually obligated to. This is the last game on the deal, and after this year Sun Belt rules will prevent it from happening ever again as long as EKU remains in FCS. The series is effectively over.

Am I counting right that it's 11 games? They can schedule 12 if they want next year, right? I think I saw 12 on Montana's 2008 schedule.

In another thread, someone said that because of the way the calendar fell, FCS teams could schedule a 12th game this year if they choose. I, too, have wondered why EKU is not taking advantage of this. Perhaps they prefer the bye weeks. As a fan, I would prefer to see the team start up a home and home series with another FCS school this year. From what I have heard, EKU still has a game open on next year's 11-game schedule as well.

I know that sucks for you guys. Here's wishing you all the best of luck without Hope and hopefully, our teams can lock horns again. Really enjoyed the trip up to Richmond this past September despite our loss. Good luck!
