Bad news for the Mountain Hawks, Frank Tavani signed on for two more years as Lafayette head coach. In the release he said he would be happy to retire as Lafayette head coach. Glad to see a guy stick with a program - he has been on staff since 1987.

“This is another step toward achieving a personal goal,” Tavani said. “When I took the job in December of 1999, I said that I intended to take this program to a championship level and that one day I hoped to retire as the head football coach at Lafayette. I’m thankful to the college administration for the opportunity to continue to work toward that goal.”

That will give Frank 15 years as head coach ( if he stays the whole time of course) and make him just about 60--probably his optimal retirement age.

Would take him to 62. Nice move by LC.
