Despite being within reach of Ron Dayne's NCAA rushing record, Kevin Smith has change of heart after the bowl game and is turning pro.

He should have stayed, he didn't have good games against the better defenses they played. Could have been a Heisman Candidate next year.

I agree. I had heard he was going to take out an insurance policy and play his senior year.

I don't think he's projected as a first rounder, but I guess that could change.

I think better showings against better competition could only help him. He ran for 55 yards against USF, which is the same defense that got worn out by Stewart from Oregon. (Over 250 yards in that game)

I like the guy, but maybe he realized that if he stayed around he would get stopped more often next year, and decided to cash in now. Just a thought, though I doubt that is what happened.
