PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania men's heavyweight crew started the spring racing season on Saturday with Northeastern. In racing that took place on Lake Carnegie in Princeton amid miserable conditions, Penn opened the day with a win in the Third Varsity Eight, lost by a little less than three seconds in the Varsity Eight race for the Burk Cup, took second to the Huskies in the 2V8, and won the 4V8 race to close out the day.
