Semifinal matchup against BC for the 3rd consecutive year... xoopsx

Time for the Sioux to get some revenge.

As a kid a friend of my dads was in the music dept at Michigan and gave me a T-shirt so I started to follow them a bit....great fight song but as the #1 seed I can't look to be a front runner. I can't cheer for Michigan.

I tend to pull for fellow conference members after UNH has been knocked out but BC is the one and only exception to this rule. I hate them.

I would also cheer for the team that knocked UNH out. "We lost to the eventual champs" type logic. But no way can I cheer for ND. I've been around far too many loud, front running ND fans when they're doing well at anything will tell you at lenght just how great ND is and that they've been a fan for years and years.

So that leaves North Dakota. A fellow FCS school. Lets Go Sioux!

BC-ND for the NC? This is really turning into quite a rivalry between the schools.

After the Hockey East playoff loss to BC and the NCAA loss to ND there were many yahoos in these parts calling to fire UNH coach Dick Umile.

Perhaps BC and ND aren't that bad after all....
Perhaps we sould rethink dumping a coach that has led us to the NCAA's seven years straight.xwhistlex

Let's Go Irish!! Boston College has been such a thorn in the Irish's side that ND needs to get a little pay back. A win over the Eagles for a national title would be nice. Still won't make up for 1993 but it's a start.

So, who had Notre Dame in their bracket?

Probably not too many. Notre Dame is not only the first #4 seed to make it to the National Championship game, but they're also first #4 seed to even make it to the Frozen Four. What an impressive run by the Irish!

My two major loves in college sports are the Fighting Sioux and Notre Dame (grew up Catholic). I knew it was too good to be true...

What can I say about UND and BC. We laid an egg on the big stage. We'll have to see in the coming weeks who is leaving early for the pros and who will be around next year.

Sorry to report that the Chestnut Hill Beagles won 4-1.

And there is a thread on the USCHO Forum ripping the ESPN coverage that sounds amazingly like the threads on this forum after our playoffs. xrotatehx xlolx

Boston College wins their 3rd National Championship, first title for an Eastern team since they did in 2001. Finally winning the title after losing in the Championship game the last two seasons

What did you guys think about the taken away goal in the third that could have made it 3-2? I thought that it was the right call because I thought he kicked the puck into his second skate then it went in. (unless the second skate negates the kick) What are your thoughts?

I think it was the correct call.
