I worked at the NFL experience in New Orleans when the Packers and Patriots played. That's as close as I've been to the Super Bowl. I would love to go in '09 when it comes to Tampa.
The closest I got to the NBA finals was when the Hornets made the playoffs when they moved to New Orleans.
I missed going to the Stanley Cup Final when the Lighting made it.
World Series, not here in the Bay Area. xlolx

I've been to a super bowl, multiple NBA finals during the two Nets runs and a Knicks final, a ton of Devils Stanley Cup finals and all but 4 Yankees World Series home games from 96 to 01 with 2 road games. Not on the poll though are March Madness finals which are alot of fun too.

World Series to see my beloved Mets and one NCAA Final Four, which, IMO, should also be on that list.

If I ever get tickets to the Super Bowl, even if it's the Eagles, I will promptly sell them for a very nice profit. To me, it's not worth the cost and hassle of attending an event I can see for free, especially when the financial gain is so great. Besides, I only really care when the Eagles are playing, and frankly, I don't want to be "that guy" at the stadium carrying on when his team sucks, as is often the case for the Birds in big games.

I'd probaby attend a World Series game however, as the potential windfall from scalping is not nearly as great as it is for the Super Bowl.

Unless its Mets-Yankees. Scalpers in 2000 were making a killing.

And the following year, it was fairly easy to get tickets to the WS in Phoenix. Proof that it really depends upon where the game is and who is playing. The thing is, the face value of World Series tickets is not unreasonable, unlike Super Bowl tix. That's why I'd rather dump those.

I decided to keep in to the pro sports for this one. I've been to the final four and 8 College World Series, but that's another thread topic I suppose.

Game 3, 1996 WS in Atlanta is the only world series game I've ever been to. I've been to a ton of NLCS games, and if the Braves would choke less in the playoffs (well now they don't even make the playoffs), I would probably go to a bunch more.

I remember two years ago, when the Steelers were in the Super Bowl, I was looking for tickets but couldn't find anything under $1000, so I gave up and watched it on TV.

The $175 I paid to see the Super Bowl XXVI looks like a good deal now. :o

Games 6 and 7 of the 1975 World Series.
Game 6 was the Carlton Fisk HR game.

I don't remember the year...late 70's early 80's I think.
Watched Montreal score an overtime goal to complete a 4 game sweep of the Bruins at the Gaahhden. Man that building got quiet in a hurry!

I'd been to a bunch of finals games but that was the only time I've seen the cup skated around.

None, due to the fact most normal people can't afford to go to any of those. It was rather expensive to just make it to 1st rd NFL playoff game ($100+ per ticket for next to last row).

My first NFL playoff game was $12.00, 45 yard line, 19 rows up, behind the Packers bench at Lambeau Field. Pack be the Cards bad. JJ Jefferson, Lofton and Coffman were too much for Lomax and the Cards. I remember scraping the ice off my seat before I sat down. As you may know, Lambeau has aluminum bench seats.
