Well...so far it looks like I expected. It looks like there's a real big difference in overall talent level. Size, strength, overall team speed. Could change, but looks like a total mismatch right now.

This game has been pretty much what i thought it would be. Hawaii just doesn't seem to have the horses, especially in the trenches to compete with Georgia. The game might not be over until 2 am either the way it's going. This has the potential to be a brutal BCS year although i still think the VTech-Kansas game will be a lot better than some think.

Hawaii's O-line is terrible against a real SEC defense. They look great against the powder puff schedule they play, but tonight they look like little kids.

Why are the refs stretching the game out....
Let the misery end.
I'm going to bed.

Georgia needs to...if you'll excuse the expression...call off the dogs. They need to stop throwing the football.

It's not just talent. Georgia has guys who are both more athletic and have better mechanics (skills). Hawaii's defense is very sluggish, and their pass protection is sub-par. If Hawaii played in the SEC there is no way that Colt Brenan would be a Heisman finalist because he'd never get a chance to throw the ball (Georgia has 7 sacks now). This game reminds me of the spanking that Georgia gave Boise State in 2005. Maybe if Hawaii played Oklahoma like BSU did for their BCS bowl game then they might have had a chance to pull of the upset tonight.
Now 41-3...could be 55-3 by the end of the game if Georgia doesn't take out the first string xrolleyesx.
Brennan sucks :p
He is sort of like Peyton Manning against New England...he is better than his numbers show because they don't have an O-line to match up with the pass rush.

Sorry but I dont agree... Georgia is playing for a shot at a split national champioship, the more they score the more likely it happens.

Probably not against this year's Oklahoma.

Brennan is still a great QB, but as someone already posted, it's hard to show it when you are getting sacked as soon as the ball is snapped.

But Oklahoma would stomp a mudhole in Georgia. The OSU-LSU game will be a good one.

How high are you?
I hate UGAy as much as the next guy, but it is what it is. UGA is an awesome football team right now and could probably beat anyone...even USC and LSU and OSU and Oklahoma.

You must be hitting skins' crack pipe. UGA couldn't even win the SEC...hell couldn't even make it to the SEC championship game.
Split national championship? xlolx

Obviously, Hawaii was grossly overrated.

Not to mention that Georgia was all over Brennan only rushing 4 most of the game.

That's what was most impressive to me, their front 4 did all the pass rushing and they beat poor Brennan up. Hawaii was totally out of their league.

No way to ever know this kind of thing but I suspect one thing that happened is that Georgia was really focused and ready to play. They'd been hearing a lot about Hawaii and Brennan.
Anyway, sometimes a good team from a minor conference might have a shot at a team like Georgia under the right circumstances. Troy played with the Bulldogs pretty well this year but I think the fact that it was a "sandwich" game where the Bulldogs were coming off a big win against Florida and looking at another big game against Auburn the following week might have had an impact.
Wasn't happening last night. Georgia came out very intense as well as very well prepared and stayed that way.

That game probably cost Colt "Not Yet a Stallion" Brennan a couple of million and a few downward picks in the draft.xrolleyesx

The only real chance Hawaii had was if Georgia didn't come to play. That OBVIOUSLY wasn't the case from the first snap.
That game last night was a major arse kicking that really shouldn't have happened in the national spotlight.

Yet because they went undefeated people wanted them in the National Championship game. I'm glad that didn't happen.

I agree.
Something is wrong when their big game win is over 4-9 Washington. TWO FCS teams? Hawaii is the FBS version of the PFL champ! :D

They didn't qualify for the playoffs, they had no shot at the national championship. After what happened last night, thank goodness they didn't qualify. They'd of been beaten by a larger margin than that Delaware-Delaware St debacle!

Thank you so much for not selecting the even BIGGER debacle in Lake Charles.
Tell you the truth though...it's not just that they got beat badly. I think they had virtually no hope going in no matter how well they game planned because they were SO outgunned physically. I don't think it was like the situation with Ohio State and Florida last year. To me there's no doubt that Ohio State had the athletes to play with Florida but just got out game planned and out executed on that night. That happens sometimes.
But last night called to mind the "men playing against boys" cliche.

Pretty easy to go 12-0 when you play the weakest schedule in the FBS. I almost laughed at Brennan's reaction when the backup QB threw the only TD of the game. Not usually a UGA fan, but I'm glad them Dawgs put the whodoo on Hawaii. Maybe next time we'll get a real Sugar Bowl.
