This upsets me. No MVC team should EVER be called a MM. The MVC is now one of the big boys, not a BCS, but as far as mens college bouncy ball, we are now a major.

I'm sorry what is MVC?
THE MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE, the finest men's basketball conference in the land, nothing more, nothing less.

JMU getting votes....wow. Really not that deserving, but it's an incredible improvement from recent years!

Yes it should b a mid major. This year may prove it. The MVC had an awful OOC run, and didn't beat anyone notable.

I agree about the MVC. Much better conference than the SEC or Big 10

All the FBS conferences plus the A-10 & MVC shouldn't be mid major. That is such bs that ESPN has a whole conference except Memphis as a MM.

There are other conferences that could also fall in the gray area. Certainly, the MVC heads the list, and not including the A10 or CUSA, I'd also put the MWC, WAC, and CAA in there, in any given year those leagues could put 2, maybe even 3 teams in the tournament.

Then why, in what is supposed to be a down year, is the MVC 7th in overall conf RPI, just thousandths of points behing the B10?(according to realtimerpi.com)
You gonna make it to Redbird Arena Sat to witness the beatdown the doggies so richly deserve? Look me up, I'll be the guy wearing red.

Just sayin', who has anyone in the MVC beat OOC this year?
Last year, the MVC was at the top, shouldn't have been considered close to being a mid-major. Same with the year before. This year? Meh.
Cincinnati? Iowa? Nebraska? St. Mary's?
Don't know why you're trying to talk smack in here, go over to Valley Talk, I hear they love it there. If SIU wins tonight, you can go ahead and have some legit concern about our game Saturday, but uh, until SIU wins a road game, don't worry about it, just worry about winning in Carbondale.

We've actually been pretty good this year. Our losses are a junk loss to VMI, an OT loss at Seton Hall that we should've won (we led by 19 during the second half) and a loss in the finals of the Charleston tournament to Charleston (we also played like doo-doo in that game).
On top of that, we beat #6 VCU last night on a buzzer beater.
I'm actually considering heading up to Harrisonburg for the BracketBusters game in February.
