If you follow college hockey, UMass is on a tear. We beat #9 Notre Dame and then #4 Colorado College back to back to win the Lighting Hockey Tourney (http://umassathletics.cstv.com/sports/m-hockey/recaps/123007aab.html).

I have to admit that you guys looked a lot better than my Wildcats a couple of weeks back in Amherst. At least the dinner at Bub's with a Berkshire Brewing Company draft were excellent as usual!! That's a real nice tourney victory!! xthumbsupx

At least UNH bounced back with a win over Maine and just finished with a split out at North Dakota. UNH took two from Colorado College in Durham early in the season. Got to love those Hockey East wins over the WCHA!! Really need them for the Pairwise Rankings!!

I wish we had a good hockey team. Brown is 1-8-4 this year. When we played Providence a few weeks ago, we lost 8-0. At least our basketball team is decent this year.

I miss Bub's. Back in 1999, a year after graduating, I bought a new car and headed to Amherst to visit friends still there. I was sure to buy a bottle of Bub's sauce when we went there. Sadly, the sauce lid wasn't on tight and all the contents of the sauce spilled...and in a manner so that about 80% of the spill went under the carpet flooring of the car. Many hot days after were filled with Bubsy goodness after that.
