Too bad really. :( I'm sure the half of the UNI population that roots for the Hawkeyes are happy though. Bleh.

Im not too disappointed with the way UNI has played really. Two completely unforced turnovers deep in our own territory(a pass that should have been caught was deflected for an int. and a fumble on a qb/rb exchange) have led directly to 14 points. Add the missed field goal by UNI and it could be a completely different game.
UNI has been able to move the ball against Iowa.

UNI's oline is able to block Iowa's front 4. Its the speed at linebacker that is causing them fits in the run game. We have had some good, deep passes that were dropped and killer turnovers. Our passing game looks good but our defense looks really bad and it concerns me with the impending Gateway season.

looks like Sanders has a lot of time to throw, not overly impressed with his arm though, his passes seem to float

VERY GOOD OBSERVATION!!! He isn't used to the closing speed of Iowa's defense.

Our DB's are making Iowa's Clinton Solomon look like Randy Moss

UNI's pass blocking seems to be holding up, but they are having a hard time picking up much at the point of attack. The option has not worked with any success either. Sanders has had a couple of real gutsy runs today straight into the Iowa LB corps.
They've also managed to mix up their looks on defense and get to Tate a couple times. When they've called a TO before a big 3rd down, they've had some luck stopping the Hawkeyes.
Heart stopped for a moment when Hunter went down laying that open field block in the first half. Can't afford to lose P.

The few option attempts (and other runs to the outside) have been without much success, Sanders has looked good though leaving the pocket and scrambling

UNI scores another TD, now down 38-21 with 1:54 to go, they attempted an onside kick but failed, had a few plays gone the other way, this could have been a real close one.

Much closer than the score indicated. I'm damn proud of UNI today. They went into a hornets nest at Kinnick and hung 370 plus yards on the Hawkeyes. Need to tighten down the D a little bit, but things are looking good for the Panthers!!

I think all UNI fans were pretty optimistic at this point. What a great game, we could have used a couple of breaks though.

Attended the game....and I must say....Sanders is the real deal.
He does lack some Arm strength but he plays smart and he is really fast for a kid from Olewein, Iowa.
Call me crazy but all the unfortunate things that happened.....missed 37 yd fg, Int for TD and fumble at 25yd line giving Iowa short field before the end of the first half, Dokes struggling against Solomon is going to make UNI a better team.
Hostile environment....
