Ellie Scherer's road to Williamsburg wasn't that clear or simple.Scherer, a junior on the women's team, is here largely due to circumstances. Not considered fast enough at the time, she was not highly recruited out of high school. But with some unexpected openings on his roster, Tribe coach Nate Kellogg offered one to Scherer. She took maybe a second to accept.
