saw this when I was looking up Van Gorder to USC in The State:
"Extra point. Mississippi State defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson, who has spoken to Spurrier about the Gamecocks’ opening, will interview today for the Georgia Tech coordinator vacancy, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger reported Tuesday on its Web site."
I think he coached at The Citadel for a while
