MACOMB -- Kooten Johnson has returned to Macomb and Western Illinois University Men's Soccer Program as an assistant coach. Johnson has been the top assistant at Purdue Fort Wayne, a D1 program in the Horizon League since March of 2020. The Mastodons finished at 7-6-4 and made it to the semi-finals of the Horizon League Tournament this past fall. The Mastodons scored a total of 25 goals in 2023. It's the most goals in program history since 36 goals in 2018. On the other side, the 'Dons' goals against average is 1.24 which currently sits as the best average in the team's D1 era.
