Georgia Southern (7-1) will play Florida (7-1) at a neutral site in Jacksonville, FL this Saturday (12/15). The game will be carried live on SportsSouth at 3p.m.

Anyone who knows more about college basketball than I do think we stand a chance at this 'neutral' site? (although a large number of GSU fans are traveling for the game)

Florida's a good team but they're young. Coach Donovan got on 'em a couple of weeks ago and they've started to come together. Playing anywhere other than Gainesville gives your team a shot.

Florida is actually 9-1....but they haven't played anyone of real significance (and lost to Florida State, which surely pissed them off). I'd say you have a chance, albeit a small one. xpeacex They are probably getting into their groove right about now, and knowing Donovan, he's got some fantastic players, even if they are young, and has just been grooming them so far this season in preparation for the meat of their schedule, the SEC. Your best chance is that he is probably looking at this game as a warm-up before they play Ohio State next weekend...xwhistlex

I think you've got a decent chance, decent meaning small but not impossible. I watched NDSU hang around against Florida them even though our men's team has been anything but impressive so far this year. Speights is a beast on the inside who can kill you on the boards and Calathes is a quick althletic slasher who passes well. Parsons can really shoot the ball especially for someone who's 6-9 but he's a toothpick and isn't very physical.
