It's now "screw the fans". It's all about TV exposure, and the $$$ from whoever broadcasting. Can't believe the ratings are all hat great, but it must obviously pay more than what they get at the gate, but the empty stadiums sure don't give off the ol' exciting college football atmosphere that has always been in our minds.

pathetic

It might not happen (but should) - the MAC really should be in FCS. They originally were placed in 1AA the first year of the split and then campaigned to move into D1A. The reality is they have more in common with FCS programs than FBS these days.

In order to remain FBS, selling your schedule soul to ESPN is virtually a requirement now for G5 programs. They can’t function without the money.

A disappointing turnout of 7,032 at Harvard Stadium for the Crimson’s thrilling triple-OT win over Penn. Maybe there was a protest march somewhere.

An equally disappointing 7157 at Princeton for Yale's double OT win

I guess the night and late afternoon games make a difference

App State gets between 30-40k for home games, Fresno is regularly over 40k so it definitely varies from school to school. Don’t play in the MAC or C-USA with weekday games and you’ll be fine.

bulldog, what’s your guess for next week’s attendance at the Bowl? I’ll say 51K.

They haven’t broken 50,000 since 2017. But Weather forecast is good and Both teams are playing for a championship. I agree with 51,000.

14191 at the Dome in Fargo. Maybe 7000 after the half because at 13-10, the game was a blow out. Freaking loser fans

What kills me are all of the empty seats in prime locations. We bought the same seats from a season ticket holder for two of the last three games on the 40 yard line about halfway up and had empty seats next to us during both games.

The lower blue seats are never full. In our section, all of the season tickets in are area are sold out allegedly but we have empty seats all the time and they are almost always the same ones. Who the hell are these people and why do you buy season tickets with no intention of coming to games. It mystifies me.

Many of the prime season tickets are purchased by businesses and I guess their employees don't want to use them anymore if they can't give them to someone who will use them? Our tickets were transferred from an account in the Team Makers level that donates between $10K and $15K per year.

Possibly so though it doesn’t erase the asinine assumption that the total of your other 31 games are anything but pathetic - certainly not smack worthy - not to mention the crumbling stadia.

McNeese's home game attendance is reported to be
6724, which is not bad considering McNeese is winless on the season and was playing a team that most McNeese fans couldn't care less about and LSU had a home game against its archrival Florida.
This game also served as McNeese's semi-homecoming with the Homecoming court being recognized at halftime. This had been postponed due to Northwestern State cancelling its season and, therefore, skipping out on serving as McNeese's homecoming opponent a couple of weeks ago.
Go to Hell, Northwestern!
