Armanti, Appalachian and the FCS got some nice words from Dan Shanoff on Deadspin (http://deadspin.com/sports/dan-shanoff-is-the-bandwagoneer/want-a-playoff-banish-the-rose-bowl-331890.php) today. Delaware didn't get much of a mention, but they got the picture at the top of the post. So they got that going for them.
Armanti isn't the Tebow of FCS, Tebow is the Armanti of FBS. xnonox

Everyone's focused on getting tickets and travel arrangements made. It ain't as simple as driving in from Boone. :D :D

You can't get anywhere easy from Boone. Ain't got none of them fancy drivin' roads. We're just moon-shinin' bare-footed redneck hillbillys who go outside to poop.

If we didn't have Junior Johnson tunin' up our Jed Clampett pick-em-up trucks we'd hafta get Andy and Barney to give us a po-lease escort.

But gollll-lee. We gots us a Walmart.

We got the tip on Bea's last year and when we went to eat lunch there on Saturday it was closed. If I remember right, the sign said they were closed until after Christmas.

I just called and the message said they are closed for vacation until Jan 9th. Hopefully, this will keep someone from wasting their time like we did last year.

Whoops, sorry about that, didn't know. Still if your in town again when it is open, it's good eats. Not a local so I didn't know the schedule.xoopsx

To my fellow SoCon posters from App State.............

If you have noticed I haven't made a pick as to who the Champion will be.

The last two years I have picked the Mountaineers. I don't want to jinx you. I will pass this year.xsmiley_wix

Who is Jr Johnson? Been wondering since Bruce sang about him.

Can one of the more informed ASU followers tell us What defense Wofford used as a base against ASU? How about GSU? and Furman? Also how many senior starter do you have on offense?

Thanks

I have to say the two are a lot alike, but I think Armanti is a lot more explosive. He can make a game play out of nothing. He can change a game at any time. I know Tebow is a great athlete and is at a more publicized location than Appalachian State, but at least in my mind he is not the X factor as Armanti is as a Quarterback.

if I am not mistaken, I think wofford used a 4-5-2 defense with a spy while Armanti was in the game. More linebackers allowed them to keep his run in check, while still protecting against the pass, thats what it seemed like to me..could be wrong...

honestly after looking at the numbers both sides of the ball should be taken care of next year... only troublesome spots i see popping up might be oline and definately our defensive secondary

Good luck to both teams go out and show the rest of the country what FCS football is all about. Here is to a triple OT thriller that leaves the rest of the country talking.
I have to go with UD in this one only because I don't want people to think that the FCS is Appy and everyone else. (even though it has felt that way for a few years now!)
