3) the first game back since the cancellation of homecoming due to the on campus shootings
4) a stingy MSU defense

WCU sold out on a 3rd and 9 and Huff runs by the defense for a TD to seal the win. FU goes for 2 and doesn't convert so it is 29-WCU 17 with less than a minute left. Closer game than the final is going to show. FU was the better team today, but WCU with a turnover at the 1 and several other times where we went for it on 4th down to get no points. With no Reid WCU had no run game to keep us in it or to keep some of those drives going. Good game by the Paladins.
