(don't laugh, PC is a damn good D2 school, consider this their Big South audition)

I'll take it catamount man! xprost2x
It will be interesting. Memphis lost their starting QB for the season in a 10-6 loss to Ole Miss (2 field goals). New guy is a freshman. Mocs team finally has some confidence, not to mention having the SoCon defensive player of the week ....two weeks running, Jeff Phillips week one, Larry White week two....yes, I said defenisve player of the week, hell has frozen over.
Mocs gave up 117 points combined to TTU and JSU last year...this year 41...will be interesting to see how much they can cut off the 52 Memphis scored last year (it was a 7 point game at the half).

We have to attack Cincinnati the way we attacked Furman, but our kids confidence level was given a MAJOR boost last week. If you'd told me we would be leading Furman 27-0 after 3 quarters, I would have had you committed. Now don't get me wrong, I felt we'd win the game, and even though it got tight at 27-21 with 8 minutes to go, I just knew we were gonna do it. It HAS to continue at UC this week. Who'd have guessed you guys and us would be the only 2-0 SoCon teams this early in the season?! I love it! See y'all October 22nd! GO CATAMOUNTS!!!

That is if he doesn't shank it off the upright like he did on his first attempt on Saturday night. Overall, I was impressed with the improvement in our kicking game.

I think your picks look good, and besides that after my lack of prognostication abilities last week, I shall refrain from disagreeing.
While I know Charleston Southern is not at the top of I-AA I was surprise by the beating they took from PC. Not quite as surprised about that as the beating we took from you. :(

With apologies to WCU and Chatt., the gap between even mid-level I-A and I-AA has grown. I doubt we'll see any more true I-A/I-AA upsets for a long tme to come.
Western Carolina 9
Cincinnati 35
Georgia Southern 21
Wofford 20
Samford 6
Furman 40
Chattanooga 14
Memphis 35
Coastal Carolina 21
App.State 35
Presbyterian 14
Elon 17

What the heck.
The below are close:
WCU loses
GSU wins
Elon wins
ASU wins
Chattanooga loses by a couple of touchdowns.
Furman wins by anywhere from 1 to 30 (How about that for confidence)
GSU Eagle
September 13th, 2005, 11:38 AM
Cincinnati 31 WCU 20
GSU 24 Wofford 21 (This one is a shaky pick. Unless we -- GSU -- start playing better this could easily be a loss)
Furman 35 Samford 14
Memphis 38 Chattanooga 14
Appalachian 27 Coastal Carolina 24 (This one will be much closer than many believe)
Presbyterian 28 Elon 21 (This one would be a tough loss to take for Elon)
The game of the week in conference is obviously GSU/Wofford. This game should say alot about how strong Wofford is and if GSU can get back anywhere close to where they were last year.

Ok I will give a go at this again. Sort of like OL FU I havent had the most luck with I-AA. I have a winning percentage of 66% this year.
Western Carolina 14
Cincinnati 21
Georgia Southern 21
Wofford 17
Samford 7
Furman 35
Chattanooga 14
Memphis 28
Coastal Carolina 24
App.State 38
Presbyterian 17
Elon 14

Eagle 77, your UC/UM pick is about what I was guessing myself (mine was 28-16...1 TD, 3 FGs).
I think it could be pretty tight until that typical fourth quarter, they got more scholarships/mocs wear down, thing happens.
The real measuring stick is next Saturday as the Mocs travel to 0-for-lifetime Statesboro :(

well if we keep playing like we have the past couple of weeks then you might break that streak.

I'm afraid to say, but the "measuring stick" will be on GSU's sideline, not Chattanooga's.
