Nice! Love the exposure... now if only Alabama would man up and make-up the game they cancelled on Lafayette in 1926.

No mention of the pay day, has to be substantial.
Always liked Day until he had the meltdown last w/e on 90 yr old Lou Holtz, hope the emotions were responsible for that outburst.

I thought this was some sort of early April Fools joke.....or a new version of the New Hampshire/Lafayette zombie thread...until I realized Day went to UNH!! This should be between $1.3 / 1.8 million payout if it's at a competitive rate.

I don't think an FCS school has ever been paid more than $1M for a payday game. Tennessee State got the largest payday ($1M) I can recall for playing Notre Dame this year, but YSU got $800k to play Ohio State. (https://herosports.com/2023-fcs-vs-fbs-payouts-bzbz/) Idaho was paid $1.3M last year to play Indiana (https://herosports.com/2022-fcs-vs-fbs-payouts-bzbz/), but I believe that was because Idaho was FBS when the contract was signed. Either way, a nice paycheck is coming.

Where the **** are you seeing any FCS team anywhere getting that kind out payout? UNI gets real good payouts from Iowa and Iowa State and we are only in the 650-700k range.

Clenz,

I'm not seeing that - I screwed up and counted UMass as one of us... I do remember Towson getting 600+ almost a decade ago vs. Auburn I believe.

YSU indeed got $800k from Ohio St. this year.

Did they cancel a 1926 game? I would believe! We beat WV that year and all the others

Yeah but hey you folks are in state! They have to go from Durham NH all the way to Columbus, prob on OSU jet. BTW I flew into the airport there and OSU has a fleet of small planes for training by aviation students. Hey Dayton connection to Kill Devil Hills!

I'd rather see Ryan Day and Chip Kelly just donate $100,000 each to their Alma Mater and schedule a team from the MAC or C-USA. I'll watch the 1st half - on the Big10 Network!

Lafayette will get $600K to play its furthest west game ever if the opponent agrees. I know the potential opponent but will reveal it when I can

Just remember YSU had a short 2.5 charter bus drive from Youngstown down to Columbus. New Hampshire will have to charter a jet to fly from the Northeast into CMH. That would be a contributing factor to why they are receiving $200k more than YSU received this past season.
