NEW HAVEN, Conn. - A party of more than 600 alumni, parents, and friends gathered in Coxe Cage November 17, 2007, to celebrate a landmark for Yale football and the Campaign for Yale Athletics. Capping nearly two-and-one-half years of construction, the Saturday morning ceremony commemorated the top-to-bottom renovation of Yale Bowl, a national landmark now in its ninety-third season of gridiron action.

Were they not done before that? When I was there for the Brown game, it looked finished to me.

Phase I of the renovations are complete.
Phase II will begin in 2008, which will be the addition of a new video scoreboard, new skyboxes and a new entrance to the Central Avenue/Lot D main gate, that will include a plaza with a listing of every Yale football team since 1872.
BTW, has anyone noticed Yale is 0-3 when they dedicate anything pertaining to the Bowl? They've had three dedications, each at the Harvard game, starting in 1914:
1914: Yale's first game at the Bowl; Harvard wins 36-0.
1987: Yale's first game with the brand new press box; Harvard wins 14-10.
2007: Yale rededicates the renovated Bowl; Harvard wins 37-6.
Can we please have the dedication for Phase II at the Princeton game instead? xrolleyesx

The trend may cut both ways. Harvard made improvements at The Stadium before you waxed us last year.xreadx My advice to Harvard: enough already!;)

For YFF (or Husky Alum, or UNH Alum in CT, or Aceinthehole): Have you seen this kid play? Is he as good as they say, or a product of Ansonia's "system"?

ANSONIA - On the eve of the biggest game of his storybook high school football career, Ansonia High senior Alex Thomas received the greatest news of all for his future when he obtained a "likely acceptance letter" from Yale University on Friday.
