Was Richmond hurt by the portal? That's a pretty bad loss, given where Morgan State has been recently. I thought Richmond could have a very good record going into the last couple weeks of the year, but now, it could be rough.

Richmond has 4 seniors and a returning SO starter on the OL and they were dominated and that was kind of a shocker to me. QB first start, but really had no chance after first drive when he ran it six times and threw for 2 completions. The rest of game he ran for his life or got stopped when he tried to run.
Spiders took opening kickoff and drove it for TD in 12 plays and never put another drive together. Defense got three turnovers and offense gave Morgan State three back.
Richmond defense was actually pretty good, but offense was hopeless.

Trying to not rag on team in disappointment, but they got a lot of work to do on offense.

To answer your portal question. Spiders lost 5 in portal to FBS in, but they were all grads and two of them were replaced by guys out last year to injury and would have started last year but for injury, the rest they lost was normal graduation. Two really good WR and of course Udinski at QB.
