HONG KONG — Columbia fencing's Zach Binder, Justin Haddad, Chloe Gouhin and Vera Kong all reached the podium at the Hong Kong 2023 International Collegiate Fencing Invitational earlier this month. Haddad won gold in men's epee, while Gouhin and Kong finished 1-2 in women's sabre and Binder picked up a bronze medal in men's foil at the two-day event that featured 30 U.S. collegiates face off against students from three Chinese institutions.
